Hugh Hewitt Spoke with Romney Campaign Insider

Attention Romney supporters: Hewitt said on his show that he spoke with a well-connected Romney insider today who said that they were thrilled they raised $5 million yesterday, and were stunned by the support they received.

The campaign official said they are going the distance. Hewitt said Romney doesn't need to win Michigan, but needs to do well among the Michigan Republicans (Michigan has an open primary).

And McCain admitted today in Michigan that he doesn't know much about economics. And it will now be a knife fight in South Carolina between Huckabee and McCain, with Romney taking a bye here.

    Thank you Populist.

I am proud to be supporting Gov. Romney. I believe he can win Michigan.

I think Romney can beat the dead beat McCain down. He is just plain evil. I wonder what Arizona feels about McCain? Does anyone know?

Also, Hewitt was just speaking with Gerhagty from the National Review: Romney's base of support holding steady. And the magic number of delegates is about 1191, and only about 100 (approx.) have been awarded so far so to call the race at this point is absurd!

Hewitt believes Romney will lose Michigan because there's not really a Dem primary, & the "strategic Democrats" in Michigan will vote for McCain to hurt the GOP like they did in NH, but after this, they won't be able to do this, and there's Florida, and super Tuesday etc. He still doesn't see McCain as acceptable to the GOP base. He hit McCain hard on his show today about his leading of the amnesty bill this past summer.

    Excerpt:

Hunter takes Arizona GOP straw poll

By: MARK WALKER - Staff Writer

NORTH COUNTY -- U.S. Rep. Duncan Hunter's long-shot bid for the 2008 GOP presidential nomination got a boost over the weekend when he emerged on top in a straw poll of Republican precinct committeemen in Arizona's most-populated county.

Hunter, R-El Cajon, got 96 votes among the 458 ballots in the non-binding poll of Maricopa County party officials asked to list their first choice for president.

Hunter easily beat Arizona's own U.S. Sen. John McCain, considered a front-runner in the GOP presidential race, who drew a comparatively paltry 50 votes. Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney came in second in Saturday's poll with 82 first-place votes.

As long as our guy Mitt keeps racking up the largest total he can win even if is by coming in second in each sate.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I think that people can see right through McCain. You can tell that he is not truthful. If he was he wouldn't be saying the same thing over and over again in these debates. He does not have anything to bring to the table except more Bush tactics.
