Former Bush White House communications director Nicolle Wallace asked him about the fact that it had been more than 260 days since the candidate last held a news conference with reporters. Here's the full exchange:”

It is absolutely astonishing that while Hillary Clinton is holding countless invitation only events around the country, with Hollywood’s rich and famous, Wall Street Bankers, our Martha's Vineyard elitist crowd, foreign dignitaries and a number of fund raising events in foreign countries, she still, to this day will not hold an un-staged press conference where reporters, including those from FOXNEWS and other fair and balanced reporters, are free to ask questions off the cuff.


I guess the pay-to-play crowd, Hollywood’s pinko crowd, and fund raising in foreign countries is more important to Hillary than meeting with the people’s press and addressing some very important questions which the people are entitled to have answered by her.

It has now been 265 days since Democrat nominee Hillary Clinton held a press conference. The next event on her public schedule is not until August 31st, when she is slated to give a speech to the American Legion National Convention in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Thursday, Clinton returned to the campaign trail in Reno, Nevada, where she read from a teleprompter for half an hour. As expected, Clinton attacked the “alt-right,” even though her supporters do not know what the alt-right is. She also targeted Donald Trump, Breitbart News, Steve Bannon, Alex Jones, Nigel Farage, Vladimir Putin, and Internet meme-makers as some kind of conspiracy that is both global and nationalist. Global nationalists might seem contradictory, but racist!

After her speech, Clinton once again refused to field unscripted questions from reporters. According to ABC News reporter Liz Kreutz, when reporters asked Clinton if she would take questions, she responded, “Let them eat chocolate.” That’s not an exact quote, but it is close enough.

It has now been 268 days since Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton held a press conference.

The next event on her public schedule is not until August 31, when she is slated to give a speech to the American Legion National Convention in Cincinnati, Ohio. The next event on her public schedule isn’t until September 7.

Today the Trump campaign released their “question of the day” for Hiding Hillary.

“Secretary Clinton, the other day your campaign said that voters who are concerned about the ethics surrounding the Clinton Foundation should not vote for you. Do you agree?” asked Jason Miller, Senior Communications Advisor.

The question is in reference to comments Clinton campaign press secretary Brian Fallon made last week defending the charity work of the Clinton Cash Foundation.

After announcing that the Clinton Foundation would stop accepting donations if Hillary wins — hurry up and buy your influence now; this deal won’t last — Fallon tried to walk it back by saying the important work of the Clinton Foundation must continue.

MSNBC anchor Steve Kornacki highlighted Monday that Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has gone 268 days without holding a single press conference to answer questions from the media about her campaign.

The last time Clinton held a press conference was on December 4, 2015, when she answered questions from reporters in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Kornacki said that there is no law requiring presidential candidates to hold press conferences on the campaign trail, but he said there is a tradition among previous White House hopefuls to do so.

“There’s no law that says a presidential candidate has to hold a press conference if they don’t want to. They don’t have to if they can get away with it. Maybe that’s the political calculation, but there is a tradition there of candidates coming forward, taking questions from anyone in the press who wants to ask them, being hit with whatever question happens to come to them, and having to deal with it on the spot,” Kornacki said.

“That is the tradition of the press conference. It’s one that Hillary Clinton has not had much enthusiasm for though,” Kornacki added.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has held 17 press conferences in 2016.
