Insult of Illegal Immigration

There has been and continues to be much talk and political posturing on the subject
of illegal immigration. While there are many views and opinions about the issue,
one of the main points has been missed entirely. The INSULT that our so called political
leaders continue to slap in the faces of law abiding American citizens, citizens by
birth and those who have been naturalized legally.
This is a nation of immigrants; we come from all parts of the world. People have
come from the very beginning of this great experiment that we call America. They
came hungry for the freedoms and opportunities that were and are available no where
else in the world. They came to start families, raise their children, make homes for
themselves and build a country for future generations to enjoy. No matter what their
origin, Europe, Asia, Africa, South America, from every country on every continent,
they came and have made this great country what it is today. But, they did it with honor
and dignity and did it legally. They taught their children by example to do things the
right way and to be proud to be a part of this country. They didn’t give up their heritage
but, they became AMERICANS and adapted to the customs that had been developed
by all those who had come before them.
So, why is it now that many Latino people feel that they are entitled to demand
what others have had to work for? Many Latin American people have come before
them and became citizens the legal and proper way. Is it not an insult to all those legal
citizens to now just say “o wellâ€

Illegals always feel they should be given things they dont deserve,
Its there way.

This is the problem with todays far left. Their upbringing. Their parents and teachers were all in that mindset of feel good touchy stuff, never told the kids "no" (for fear it would crush their little spirit) never gave them and "F" (cannot stifle their personal expression by shooting them down once in a while), and so on, we all have seen it and it makes us nauseous.

So these are the self-gratified, self-serving adults now, who are making these decisions to be kind and compassionate to criminals who have disrespected our nations laws and our soveriegnty. They see us all as "mean" and acting "unfair" (since they were taught that nothing short of everyone having things just the way they wanted them was unfair, although WE all know life can be unfair and uneven, but that's life).

These generations are the ones who think it is perfectly ok to hand over anything the illegal aliens want, although it is not all theirs to give away.

What needs to happen is to tell these people, who truly are a minority, is to step back, sit down and shut up, and no more freebies to interlopers. We need to take back the reins from these people and not let them have it back again, as they will surely steer us over the proverbial cliff to absolute destruction.

Dave Grifith's reasoned statement clearly shows one result of 'Bama's incessant pandering to illegals. I wish him well.

Nancy Unamerican would be wise to take notice.

I read nothing but good old fashioned common sense in the letter. There is no need for a degree from a institute of higher learning needed, no degree in psychology, no law degree, no sociology degree, just common sense, good old fashioned horse sense.

How embarrassing it must be for a person with their sheep skin, sliced from societies arse to allow them to have brought our nation to this point.

The most liberal of liberal arts majors should all be placed in a padded room to re-create the world in their image.....meds are served every other hour as needed.

I have seen the enemy, and they are idiots smug with their self imposed ability to debase themselves to the level of a intestinal tract parasitic worm. Doubt my statement? Look toward Washington D.C.

I must apologize, in my zeal to post this letter I did not add any comments. For one, this is this Sheriff’s race in Forsyth County North Carolina. The current Sheriff William Schatzman, may be remembered as he refused to apply for his department to participate in the 287g program. Even though the County Commissioners approved the funding, authorized moving forward with getting involved. I hope Dave has a chance; the current Sheriff is in the hip pocket of big business
