Thread: I have a need for opinions/ reasons from yall, please

OK< I admit, I work in a job without many blacks, Motorsports) and have few black friends, although I really like and respect the blacks. My best friend in college was a black. SO I have no one to ask this of, and I am hoping some of you out there may be able to tell me.

I have read that the illegals are depressing wages, and making it harder for the black person to compete with them on jobs. Black men and women both have to make a living here, and having to go up against someone who has a "great work ethic" and who will also work for less than minimum wage seems to be a losing deal for the black person.

Also, with blacks demending better schooling, and their already facing uphill battles with schooling scores, seems they would realize the illegals are taking away from the black education.

in the health care field, many blacks depend on assistance. With the illegals, there is only so much $$ to go around, and having to share that with illegals mean a smaller part of the pie.

wiith that said, why isn't Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton coming out demanding a change, demanding border protection? I know they are both really out for themselves, but if they can march/protest/etc. a flag in S.C., shouldn't they have a say about this? This seems more affective to the black population than a flag. Also, they seem to love to Bush bash, why are they missing this golden opportunity?

Why do people feel the need to put black people in a seperate category?

To me, the school problem is very simple. When half the class can't speak English, all the kids get half a days teaching.

Ronny, I believe BobC is right, it plain and simply effects all of us, all Americans. It is a good question though, why we don't see Sharpton, and Jackson seeming to care one iota about the harm illegal immigration does to black Americans. Too bad they can't talk about what it does to all Americans.

My son's high school science teacher is black and he said that his teacher spent more than half of the first day of class talking to his students about illegal immigration and the negative effect it is having on the U.S.. So , obviously this teacher is not taking the problems created by illegal immigration lightly.

Yup, this is an issue that is not black and white, which when you get right down to it most aren't. This illegal invasion benefits zero citizens, costs us up the yamyam and the only good effect that it seems to have is bringing us all together to fight a common enemy. Our government.

ALL OUR LEADERS SHOULD BE WORKING FOR US AND NOT AGAINST US...THOSE THAT AREN'T NEED TO FIND THEMSELVES OUT IN THE COLD COLD WORLD!! THAT'S BLACK AND WHITE!!

Although everyone is right about this problem affecting ALL Americans, your concern about the impact of illegal immigraton on Black Americans is valid because Black Americans remain a protected group of people in the United States in an effort to overcome social issues related to racism and discrimination that originated many years ago. Unemployment for example is highest among Black Americans...around 12%. Unemployment among Black Teenagers is around 25%. These are Black Americans signed up for unemployment or desperately trying to find a job who every 4 weeks go down to the unemployment office at least once to report in and stay on the list, most not receiving unemployment benefits because they've run out, and like all unemployed Americans pursue employment in good faith expecting a call for employment when "something opens up".

The sad fact is they are never going to get the call because nothing is going to open up for them. There is a preference today towards the illegal alien over American Citizens. It is outrageous, it is unconsionable, it is unforgivable.

While all unemployed Americans suffer the same, the statistics show that in percentages a greater percentage of Black Americans are in these dire financial straits of all groups in the United States. Therefore, in terms of percentages, more Black Americas are suffering the brunt and consequences of illegal immigration than any other group in the United States.

In addition, because of the income per capita of Black Americans being much lower than the average income per capita for the United States, their children are often in low income school districts and due to lack of resources suffer poor facilities, leaking roofs, toilets that don't work, lack of school supplies, school gangs which are now overrun the schools, many of which are illegal alien gangs terrorizing the children while they are at school which increases absenteeism, tardiness, lack of concentration, and higher drop out rates. Thus, their educational opportunities are being infringed upon as well, education that is guaranteed them by the U. S. Constitution.

It's time for All Americans to Stand Up with Each Other and For Each Other. Every American is suffering the brunt of illegal immigration, some more than others, but it will reach all of us in one way or another sooner or later....in otherwords, there are no survivors of this invasion if we don't all Stand Up, Rise Up and Put an End to this Traitorous Nonsense NOW!!

that's a good question, I hadn't even thought about that, but most of the time they want to make everything a black or white issue -- but this is something that blacks and whites agree on and there is "UNITY" --- they don't want unity that's why they REWROTE the 'uncivil war' -- because the blacks and whites from the south united against the federal government. Black historian and Professor at Southern University, Dr. Leonard Haynes stated; "When you eliminate the Black Confederate soldier, you’ve eliminated the history of the South." The 'unCivil War' was not a 'moral issue' -- it was a Constitutional issue that has affected every American for the last 144 years. Confederate history is American history . . . Confederate history is Black history and preserving OUR heritage is not a 'hate crime.'
