A Lonesome Dove Moment
This country desperately needs to experience a "Lonesome Dove" moment. Those of you not familiar with this story, it was written by Larry McMurtry and later turned into an award winning mini series about two famous Texas Rangers and the cattle drive from Texas to become the first working ranch in Montana in the 1800's. The core of the story centers around honesty, honor, courage, self sacrifice, hard work and justice, something sorely missing in our country and government today. I would like to see a little more of the old fashioned Texas justice handed out nowadays but of course in our PC existence this just ain't gonna happen. Does anyone familiar with this story think that Gus and Woodrow would have tolerated what's going on around us today?

I believe it was the Capt. who said "I can't tolerate bad behavior" after he beat a guy with a horse whip, yep long overdue.
I'm old with many opinions few solutions.

Yep, we need that old-fashioned all around west style justice. Too many criminals and corrupted politicans running around wreaking havoc while the liberals in control stand back going "tsk, tsk, tsk" at them.
Time for our law enforcement and military to work together on the border and take care of the criminal cartels the way they used to...."In the beginning of a change, the Patriot is a scarce man, Brave, Hated, and Scorned. I can't stand rudeness in a man. I won't tolerate it.

Texas, I do hope we start seeing a return to true justice and law in this country. It is so badly needed. Ever notice how surly so many people have become? I attribute that to the total incivility rising up, and the lawlessness, it makes people feel on edge and angry, it turns into public anger overall.

Also, I found out that my family were founders of Panola County in East Texas. Thomas Matthews and Mary Sherrill were my grandparents and both moved to Texas in about 1820.
For those of you in North Carolina, the town of Sherrill's Ford was founded by my grandparents!! I traced that line all the way back to Emporor Charlemagne "Charles the Great" of the Holy Roman Empire in 742 A.D. TONS of Royalty in my family.Don't think about all the things you fear, just be glad you're here.
