I lost the bet , RELAX TIME A DAY EARLY , SORRY

My daughter kicked my butt on a bet and I have to take her out to
dinner tomorrow night , Relax time is a day early , Sorry

I wanted to cover a genre that is lost in the muck , Country and Southern rock this week

The classic and the first , A most fantastic band

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tnAo4WOU ... re=related

    What a classic sound

Dickie Betts , a journeyman guitarist of the first order
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WfM6nRVBvGs

Not just his playing but the fact that a country blues band could write and play such melodic music

    I still own this LP
It is a forgotten classic by the NURPS

R.I. P Hughie , One of the greatest country rock bands of all time
The OUtlaws racked up hit after hit , This vid is kind of crappy quality but it is the only one I could find with Hughie , its worth it
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8c6Vog7niS4

Who can forget ...............TURN IT UP , THE GUITAR SOLO BLOWS SMOKE

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rhhtRxqSrys

Greg Allman is a stoned out drug addict , maybe we need more of them
How on earth did these people in the 70s make music like this ?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pwbowi-8 ... re=related

Did you know Duane Allman did this song with Eric Clapton before he died
    Derek and the Dominos
    A current live version
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fX5USg8_1gA

There use to be a live version of Layla with Duane but it has disappeared
I could do a whole show with Clapton though , While not the blazing guitar god he is made out to be , the man has accumulated a fantastic amount of GREAT music , his contribution can't be under stated

    Sorry for the quicky
    ENJOY

Actually I did see Little Feat with Lloyd George , I wasn't real impressed , just being honest here.
Music is a personal taste , if you like them , more power to you

There were a hundred songs I could have posted . Just personal taste I guess.

(Not trying to T off a mod , just being honest )

This is my favorite Outlaws song and probably favorite song period. Head phones required!
At the change up in this song all the guitar players stood in a line at the front of the stage and kept playing till their arms were burnin' then the next guitarist would take it and on and on it was amazing to see!

And no Southern Rock is complete without this song!

And this is the best Doobie song ever! You know it is!

"Molly Hatchet!" yeah! that's the one!
The first time I saw Lynard Skynard was at the Paramont theater in Portland (community theater)
Girl's rippin' they're shirts off and throwing them on stage, I was 16 and thought I'd died and gone to HillBilly Heaven!
