Most Americans who lost their jobs working in IT and computers have come to this conclusion. It seems that the H-1B visa program, at least since 2003, has been hijacked by India since almost 80% of the jobs which go to foreign workers in computer related professions have gone to Indian workers. The workers from India who come in to IT firms as H-1B visas help target working Americans for job elimination so that their job can either go to another H-1B or get outsourced to India. Many Indians vigorously deny this because they are afraid that as the truth comes out there will be more pressure from the American voter to curtail this program. There are several websites devoted to the immense job losses that have happened when India took over the H-1B visa program. The best place to start is the dice.com forum listed below. Warning: the high emotional content of the debate has resulted in some name calling and dead end flame wars. Don't let these sidetrack you, rather sift out of the group some of the more useful information. It is also an extremely frustrating topic to research because many potential immigrants rely on worker visa "loopholes" that sometimes come from law firms and they hate the idea of the American tax payer finding out what is really going on. Many Indians feel that the USA belongs to them and not American citizens and believe that constantly bending the rules and finding new legal loopholes will one day result in a country in which just about every American has lost his job and the US has gone over to the rule of recent Indian immigrants:
