EDMOND — EDITOR’S NOTE: This is the first in a two-part series on crime-related legislation signed by Gov. Brad Henry.



A bill filed in response to President Barack Obama asking potential cabinet members if they owned or possessed a firearm is among crime-related legislation signed by Gov. Brad Henry.

Other crime-related new laws include a bill prohibiting fortifying doors to delay law enforcement, a law increasing the penalty for assaulting emergency care providers and a law creating a DNA sample requirement.
