Idaho Has It's Share Of Illegal Aliens

This is how many are on immigration hold in just one county here in Idaho. This state is beginning to look alot like so many others across this country. Click on the alphabet at the top for all the names.

Sorry about just posting the link, but I don't know to do the pictures.

Tiny to embed an image in a post you do something like this:
    Code:
(This is obviously a bogus link, but it shows how to include one easily.
Multiple images require multiple references as in the above. Note also that you can't cut/paste an image from your local machine up to the web server.
You can ONLY use references to ones already posted up on the web somewhere.)

    Re: your post:

Looking at the A's (the default page that comes up) there are 30 inmates listed. Of those, 6 have immigration holds on them (6/30 = 1/5 = 20%)
Echoes the national and usual statistics about the proportion of IAs in detention facilities throughout the country. Federal institutions reportedly have even higher %'s of IAs (well, typically).

Thanks for the info, Phred. This is bad for Idaho. We never had so many like this here. I started going through the list and was going to count them, but I give up. I'll do it tomorrow. I've got the flu and I'm going to bed.

Here's some interesting data from 2006. I just counted the ones on immigration hold in Canyon County jail and there are 73, plus 8 or 9 more who are just on hold, some by the federal marshal.

    Definition:

The Census Bureau's Population Estimates Program (PEP) produces July 1 estimates for years after the last published decennial census (2000). Existing data series such as births, deaths, and domestic and international immigration, are used to update the decennial census base counts. PEP estimates are used in federal funding allocations, in setting the levels of national surveys, and in monitoring recent demographic changes.

With each new issue of July 1 estimates, PEP revises estimates for years back to the last census. Previously released estimates are superseded. Revisions to estimates for prior years are usually due to input data updates, changes in methodology, or legal boundary changes.

    Vote For Pedro!

Forget the statistics - watch popular culture. Napolean Dynamite came out, when, 2003? Five years ago? Mexican high school kids swatting a pinata of the girl running for school president. Gang bangers in low riders. I've never been to Idaho.
