Thread: Idea: Seperate immigration costs into stand alone tax

Have an idea:

One of the main problems we have with the immigration problem is that the cost is 'hidden' in terms of what each of us pays.

Take all the money spent on the problem and make it a tax everyone pays on their paycheck.... sure to get people's attention.

That'd sure wake a lot of people up.

What about.............we start a movement to withhold all taxes we pay. No federal taxes, no state taxes and no local taxes paid until the government actually does something other than talk about closing the borders and deporting illegals. Gov't might notice with fewer tax dollars coming in. More likely, they'd just tack on more to the deficit.

here's an additional idea; give the public one of two choices;

1.) witholding tax for immigration services or;

2.) change the law so employers MUST ensure they are not hiring illegals... and impose strict penalties.
