Illegal alien rams car into house!

See why every community needs 287G, which enables local police to enforce immigration laws.

This vid was emailed to our local Sheriff. This is the response that came back.

I just heard the Feds are pulling the funding for the 287g Program…I am at the Florida Sheriff’s Conference right now, and I plan to ask a lot of questions.

Has anyone heard anything about the Feds pulling funding????

If it's true, I wouldn't doubt it if jorge directed them to cut the funding.

No, in the Homeland Security bill there is funding for the program as a matter of fact our local dept. in Nashville just got increased funding in order to detain them longer than 48 hrs. The bill passed with 3 Billion for border security.

In related action, the Senate also passed late Thursday its $40.6 billion version of the 2008 Department of Homeland Security budget, voting 89 to 4, after adding $3 billion for border security. The money is meant to pay for fencing, sensors and vehicle barriers; 3,000 more Border Patrol agents; 4,000 new detention beds; and 700 additional immigration enforcement personnel.

An amendment introduced by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) to the Department of Homeland Security appropriations bill that would increase border security by $3 billion passed the Senate by an 89-1 vote Thursday. The amendment, which is co-sponsored by nine Republican Senators including Sens. John Cornyn (R-Texas) and Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) - both of whom were outspoken opponents of the previous comprehensive immigration reform package - includes additional funding and policy changes affecting border security and interior enforcement efforts.

“There is no doubt we need better border security at our southern border including more boots on the ground, more miles of fencing, better technology which acts as a force multiplier, additional detention beds, and unmanned aerial vehicles,â€

This was the subject of local talk radio on Friday. I think this will be used as a springboard to try for amnesty, saying "we've secured the border." Even when "operational security" is met, unless we have a strong new President, they are going to try and legalize millions in the coming months. A secure border isn't going to alleviate the problems unless we have ENFORCEMENT we will be totally overrun in the next few years. Employer enforcement is an absolute necessity.
