I have hiked and backpacked in the desert many times so I have an idea of what these people go through but to call them heros is beyond me!
Most of them are desperate people fleeing their own corrupt country just trying to survive!
If they were real heros they would stay home and fight their own government for their rights, they would be asking for US help instead of US rights and I am sure we would give it to them!

Running from your own country to another and demanding rights that you are not entitled to is an act of cowardice. We will not reward these people by giving them amnesty for sneaking into our country and stealing from the american taxpayers.

They should go protest and and overthrow their own goverment in Mexico. That would be heroic.
