The continuing practice of hiring unauthorized workers has been referred to as “the magnet for illegal immigration.â€

    Some good points in there.

I would disagree with the idea that illegals don't cause crime and that they obey the law, etc.

The reason we don't get accurate figures on crimes committed by illegals is that our local people sometimes do not identify them as illegal and a lot of the time, simply turn a blind eye to crimes by illegals - such as theft, etc., causing auto accidents that kill or maim, and drug crimes.

    RE: crime

I can "speculate" just as easily as Robert Sampson of Harvard University can. Speculation is not proof.

A common stereotype among the public is that immigration causes higher crime. Crime rates from 1994 to 2005 have declined as immigration has increased. Robert Sampson, Professor in Social Sciences at Harvard University, speculates in Harvard Magazine in 2006 that being in the country illegally gives illegal aliens an "extra incentive to keep a clean record and not commit crimes, in order to avoid deportation".

However, the Center of Immigration Studies (CIS), an immigration reduction advocacy group, has stated that "some of the most violent criminals at large today are illegal aliens." . Persons apprehended while attempting to enter the United States illegally after committing previous crimes in the United States are indictable for the attempt to illegally re-enter the country.

There were an estimated 25,000 gangs and more than 750,000 gang members active across the USA in 2004, up from 731,500 in 2002. By 1999, Hispanics accounted for 46% of all gang members, Blacks 31%, Whites 13%, and Asian 7%.

According to a 1997 report by the House Judiciary Subcommittee on Immigration and Claims, "Through other violations of our immigration laws, Mexican drug cartels are able to extend their command and control into the United States. Drug smuggling fosters, subsidizes, and is dependent upon continued illegal immigration and alien smuggling."

Another large scale multi-million dollar criminal operation connected to illegal immigration is identity theft.

The thing about crime that they use to throw us off is this: how the hell do we know if they have more criminals per-capita if we don't even know how many are here?? They know their is no way to know for sure, so they always try to get us to prove what we don't have sufficient data for. Therefore, they must be right..............

Here is the data we DO have: According to FAIR using Federal Bureau of Prisons statistics: 29% of our federal prison population are criminal aliens. Also in 2005 Jorge Bush himself stated the # of illegals detained by ICE and the # of them that had criminal records.....1 in 12 had criminal records. Using the data we have, it is safe to say that illegals commit crimes at a significantly higher rate than citizens.
Serve Bush with his letter of resignation.

    See you at the signing!!
