Update on Dream scheme
I just saw a segment on Fox with Malkin
It appears insider information coming from DC says this will be
dead on arrival
It was a long session with Megan Kelly and Malkin , They covered it really good
The same thing I brought up , what on earth are they doing pushing this
with all the other problems we have
I also heard the lame duck session can be as short as 2 weeks
Not much time and there are some important things they have to do.

I saw that, too, but we still need to stay on 'em and make sure they know we are watching.

Thanks for posting that. We'll all keep an eye on this -if needed, we'll call in force...
I did not know the lame duck session could be as little as 2 weeks. That's quite interesting to know.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I don't know about it being dead on arrival. The Health Care Bill was suppose to be dead at the time, but somehow it got in.

Almost every bill, indeed, is potentially subject to two filibusters before the Senate votes on whether to pass it: first, a filibuster on a motion to proceed to the bill’s consideration; and second, after the Senate agrees to this motion, a filibuster on the bill itself.
Usually cloture will not be invoked unless the majority leader things he has 60 votes to pass it.
It is doubtful if the Senate would come back into session after Dec. 24th. So time is really limited in the Lame Duck. A lot of filibusters will stall the lame duck and consume all the time. They simply may run out of time. Also McConnell probably has little interest in helping Dems pass antying so I suspect filibusters will be the order of the day.
Even though the Dream Act has been introduced - other than the effort to bundel it into the failed Defense Authorization Bill - it has yet to be included on the legislative calendar for floor action. It is important to see what bills Reid Schedules cloture votes on - so far he has only scheduled cloture votes on 3 bills for the session starting the 15th.
