Thread: Illegal Sanctuary for Illegal Aliens

Did you know that Durham, NC is designated a "sanctuary city" giving aide and support to illegal aliens? No wonder there are so many living in this part of the state! I don't understand how/why our state allows the "sanctuary city" designation to stand as lawful when it violates the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigration Responsibility Act of 1996 (IIRIRA) which states the following without equivocation:
Notwithstanding any other provision of Federal, State, or local law, a Federal, State, or local government entity or official may not prohibit or in any way restrict any government entity or official from sending to or receiving from the Immigration and Naturalization Service information regarding the citizenship or immigration status, lawful or unlawful, of any individual.

Yes, this is truly a national disgrace. These sanctuary cities are in fact violating federal law. All of the cities offering sanctuary should have federal funding removed for highways, schools, etc. Of course we have a President that will not act against sanctuary cities, so it will be up to the people to do something to stop this outrageous practice.
