Sir, you are not alone. These "people" are DEMANDING WE SECEDE CONTROL OF 1/3 OF THE NATION!

IF ANY OTHER COUNTRY IN THE ENTIRE WORLD MARCHED 15 MILLION OF THEIR COUNTRYMEN INTO THIS COUNTRY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT DEMANDING THAT THE PACIFIC SOUTHWEST OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA BE TURNED OVER TO THEM, THE MISSILE SILO DOORS WOULD BE FLYING WIDE OPEN!

    Tell me it ain't so!

    now, where were we?

Got this in an email yesterday in an answer to one of the letters I sent to all of our representatives on the amnesty issue stating I was against any amnesty...they listen so well.......

    Security and Prosperity...for whom Sir

    Dear Ms. .....,

Thank you for contacting me regarding immigration reform. I appreciate hearing from you on this important issue.

America needs an immigration system that protects both our national security and economic prosperity. During this time of economic hardship, our immigration policies should not make it more difficult for Americans to find jobs or undermine the wages of American workers.

On December 15, 2009, Representative Solomon Ortiz (TX) introduced H.R. 4321, the Comprehensive Immigration Reform for America's Security and Prosperity Act (CIR ASAP) of 2009. H.R. 4321 is the first major immigration reform legislation to be introduced this Congress. After introduction, the bill was referred to the House Committee on the Judiciary, among several other committees.

H.R. 4321 seeks to address immigration reform through a variety of avenues. The bill would increase resources for border security, focus on decreasing border criminal activity through creating border relief grant programs for state, local, and tribal law enforcement entities, and improve detention facilities. An employment verification system would be administered that, in phases, will apply to all workers and new hires to verify authorization to work. In addition, visa reform, an earned legalization program, strengthening the U.S. economy and workforce, and integration of new legal immigrants are highlighted in the bill.

You may be interested to know that on February 6, 2009, I supported an amendment to the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act that tightened restrictions on H-1B Visas for foreign workers. The H-1B Visa program allows American companies to hire skilled workers from overseas if they certify that American workers are unwilling or unable to fill available positions. The amendment I supported will help ensure that institutions receiving taxpayer dollars through the Troubled Assets Relief Program (TARP) cannot use the H-1B Visa program to hire foreign workers for jobs that Americans are willing and able to do. This commonsense, bipartisan amendment was introduced by Senators Charles Grassley (IA) and Bernie Sanders (VT). It passed unanimously in the Senate and was included in the final recovery legislation that was signed into law on February 17, 2009.

As a border state, New Mexico is directly affected by America's flawed immigration policies. Thus, comprehensive immigration reform is extremely important to me. We can and we must craft a policy that respects America's heritage as a nation of immigrants and a nation of laws. Any proposal for immigration reform must secure our borders, crack down on employers who hire undocumented workers, ensure that resources are targeted at removing undocumented immigrants who are involved in drug trafficking or violent crime, and address the estimated 12 million undocumented immigrants currently living in the U.S.

The Senate is currently drafting its own comprehensive immigration reform legislation, which may be introduced later this year. Please be assured that I will closely monitor this issue and that I will take your views into consideration should immigration legislation come before the Senate.

    THIS IS LEFT-WING RADICAL DOUBLESPEAK!

We've heard this siren song before. THIS IS THE SETUP! YOU JUST GOT SLAPPED IN THE FACE WITH A GLOVE!

It's sound pretty much word for word the same drivel THAT THEY promised to Reagan and Bush once before about "securing the borders" (yada yada yada blah blah blah.) with all due respect Mr. and Mrs. lawmakers, i think we've all seen how committed and successful you've been in securing "our" borders ( 15 million and counting since the last round).

I've said before these people are relentless. they're going to continue to pound at us with this socialist propaganda for Immig reform (like they pounded at us with HC) with the all-for-one and one-for-all utopian concept while THEY are driven around in their chauffeured town cars back and forth to their gated communities all the while collecting their FAT PENSIONS; while we, the citizens-at-large face the destruction up close and face to face.

They don't send their kids to schools where 50% of the students don't speak English, anymore than they will accept the same Healthcare they insisted was so phenominal.

We're going to have to fight this "march to socialism" until we die from stress fatigue or hang ourselves in our collective closets.

I sincerley don't see any other options.

What exactly is flawed about immigration policies, except the will of those responsible to carry them out? And those that hold the pursestrings to fund these operations?
Sure, a nation of immigrants, but since Reagan's amnesty in 1986 and subsequent amnesties and expansion of visa limits the problem has exploded. This whole thing has turned into a political football, with the OBL gangs with deep pockets winning every time.
