    Why do I have to "Press 1for English" ?

    Why do I have to "Press 1 for English" ?
    I ask Comcast Cable this question and here is the PC (BS) response. If you have Comcast ( http://www.Comcast.net ) perhaps you could ask also. Maybe a little pressure will help them see the error of their ways.

    Thank you for contacting Comcast, my name is Sharon, I will be happy to assist
    you today.

    We apologize for any inconvenience. Due to the diversity of languages it is
    necessary to have the option to choose a variety of language options to ensure
    all our clients get fair and equal support.

    Typically, I would have a customer service ticket number for your inquiry;
    however my ticketing resource appears to be down at the present time for
    maintenance.

    Thank you for choosing Comcast.

    Sincerely,

    Sharon

    If your a Comcast customer......for fun......go to Latino Comcast. It's in Spanish. Do your thing with your computer to have the page translated to English. Cover page will. Click on an article and do your thing to have the page translated to English and see what happens........flips you back to the home page. Call them and ask them why.........you're paying too. Then ask them if all the English pages are translated to ANY other language.......and the answer is yes. Then ask them why the Spanish pages aren't.

    If English is the official language then the rest of this press one has to go! I see that some of the manufacturers coupons in the sunday newspaper where they have both languages on some. I do not buy the products that have both as a personal boycott. There is too much catering to the Hispanics already. My daughter and I went to Publix (a major grocery chain) one evening and found products alongs side regular products that were all in Spanish. That is the last time we go there if we can help it.

    I did the Comcast deal........Comcast Latino voters voted to not have it translated to English. I was told to "search" and eventually I would find the article in English. Stupid thing is......the article was about scuttle-but on entertainers and why men prefere Latinos.
