Canada has begun to uphold its immigration laws.

You have a problem with that?

Illegal immigrants and phony refugees are neither the good, hard-working and decent people we desire, nor the sympathetic, desperate, legitimate refugees we justifiably welcome.

They are lying, cheating, law-breaking, thieves.

They abuse our good will and steal resources from a country — ours — they have no right to be in.

Some are, quite literally, hardened criminals, others are suspected of war crimes.

There are about 38,000 failed refuge claimants we’ve lost track of, meaning if they were evenly spread out across Canada, any town larger than Gilbert Plains, Man., would have at least one.

Some came in falsely claiming refugee status and then disappeared during the three year — three year! — process it takes to deny their claim and kick them out.

Citizenship and Immigration Minister Jason Kenney says his department is now pursuing 1,800 phony immigrants, people: “We are certain obtained citizenship through clear acts of fraud.â€
