Immigration, From a Pivotal Issue to Nary a Mention
Immigration, From a Pivotal Issue to Nary a Mention
Two hours of debate at Dartmouth and not a mention of the one issue that knocked front runner Rick Perry into third place in the polls…immigration. No questions about border security even with the escalating violence in the already horrific slaughter taking place right across our border.
No mention of the systematic dismantling of the immigration law enforcement structure in our country by Barack Obama.
19 days ago Texas Governor Rick Perry’s Presidential campaign was rocked by his attitude towards those who opposed giving tax subsidies to illegal alien college students via the Dream Act. Remember? Heartless.
So significant was this event and substantial the setback to the leader of the pack that Dick Morris pronounced
Well, if you just arrived from Mars you wouldn’t even know that illegal aliens were a problem in our country because there wasn’t a mention of it last night.
Now, this isn’t really all that surprising, in retrospect. The debate was broadcast on Bloomberg Television the business network founded 30 years ago by Michael Bloomberg, the current Mayor of New York City and the country’s 13th richest person with a net worth exceeding $18,000,000,000.
Bloomberg is pro-amnesty and supported the McCain-Kennedy amnesty legislation in 2007. He claims that illegal immigration does not strain the financial resources of New York City, which I am sure has city managers from all over the country urgently calling to learn how that's possible,
since illegal aliens strain the financial resources of the taxpayer in every other city in the country.
In September 2003, Bloomberg signed an executive order prohibiting city agencies, including the police, from asking people’s immigration status and from sharing that information with the feds. He also increased translation services in the city's schools and in Medicaid and welfare offices…but, illegal immigration doesn’t strain New York’s financial resources.
He's turned New York City into the biggest Sanctuary Mega-City in the country.
So, it is not surprising that not a single question about The Pivotal Issue for the GOP, Immigration, would be asked.
Because, when you run a plantation the size of Michael Bloomberg's you don’t want to draw attention to the fact that you and your business cronies are making big profits off of illegal immigration. That explains the blackout of the issue.
It is imperative that immigration be an election issue. It is of vital importance to the future of our country for these candidates to know how important the immigration issue is to the voters.
Call the candidates, get on talk radio, blog, let your opinion be known so the next time these people who want to be the president get together, there is at least one question about the most important issue effecting America’s future.
