    Letter to the Editor:
I am unable to use the words that express my frustration with the 18 Oregon senators who voted to give illegal immigrants in-state tuition. If this measure passes in the House, then we discriminate against legal immigrants and citizens from other states who want to attend college here.

I feel for these illegal kids, but the blame falls squarely on their parents betting on another amnesty. Illegal immigrants graduating college who do not have a valid Social Security number cannot be hired. Are we then paying for them to be educated to return to their country for a better job?

These illegal immigrants are caught between a rock and a hard place as the screw tightens to force them to self-deport. All the Oregon Senate did was give them hope but add to their eventual frustration when they are forced to face reality.

I can only hope the House will apply some common sense during its deliberations.

    RE: Mayday

Mayday, I don't agree with much that Change.Org has to say. Mostly because they critisized a good friend of mine in the past, but they do however tend to be free speech friendly. It should be interesting to see if they tolerate a petition that is against illegal alien tuition as much as they preach tolerance.

If maybe a couple hundred people were to sign it and push it to the top of their Immigrant Rights page it would be interesting to see if they allow it. On one hand allowing it could alienate the majority of their user base while on the other hand censoring it would make them look close minded and intolerant to dissenting views.

I know a couple of people who used to post in Change.org and they were banned because of their anti-illegal immigration sentiments.

Alipac did push a petition against illegal immigration to the top at one time but change cheated so that it wasn't at the top. I wish I could find the thread on it but can't figure out the right search words to find it. I do remember that it was a long thread and it happened around Christmas or New Years in I believe in 2008 or 2009. Some of us had viruses thrown at us for disagreeing with their viewpoint and I was one of them. They were pretty nasty over there and I won't go back. Also it's not worth the time because they do and will cheat.
