He said that he "warned everybody" last year that big business didn't WANT the borders secured, employers held to task, etc... and now the fines have been stripped from the bill... etc.

Under the amendment that Democrats allowed last night, any government contractor caught using illegal labor would be prohibited from future government contracts for ten years. It was approved on a 94-0 vote.

Rush was referring to this, I believe. I called Jeff Sessions office to thank him for all he is doing for America and to ask how people could make sure this survived conference with the House. The aide said he didn't know, but he thought because of the large margin of votes it surely would be in the final bill.

Small victory!

As much crap as people give Rush... I've been really pleased about his stance on this issue. I would've thought he would side WITH the 'profit above all else' big business wing of the GOP. But nope. I was wrong. And good for him. He can help us. ...what, with the literally millions who tune in to hear him every day.

Hmmmm. I what Howard Stern's take on this is?
