    I gotta agree. He also is stating his plans for only the first few months saying in the first few months he has no plans for "big" ticker issues. I see it as simply pushing to show support for hitters on illegal immigration to put heavier pressure on the WH when they see the hopeful huge public support along with the standard illegal agenda rioters.

    Yep. And tho it may not seem like much to anti-illegals activists, E-Verify and workplace enforcement will build momentum. The media will have to begin reporting that Americans actually will take entry level jobs, to keep roofs over their heads. Americans will see that their government - or at least the Repubs and, I suspect, some mid-America Demos - are actually putting the general welfare of Americans at the head of their action list.

    IMO Smith is a viable candidate for 2012. I think that he's not as willing as is 'Bama to say anything that he thinks a particular voting block wants to hear, but he's articulate and informed.
