Impeachment is Appropriate: An Open Letter to Congress

Leading up to the January 28^th State of the Union Speech, Barack Obama and his spokesmen made statements to the effect that he plans to use his pen to sign executive orders to enact law on his own authority. He says he will do this because, in his view, Congress has not, or will not, pass certain legislation that he desires.
Based on this bald assertion of prerogative by Obama, articles of impeachment should be filed against him immediately. And I am calling on my Congressman, Representative Andy Harris of Maryland, to do just that. I urge you to do the same with regard to your own representative in Congress. In fact, you might send this short video to your Congressman along with your request that he impeach Barack Obama.
Let's talk about the legal reasoning for this?
The very first sentence of the Constitution (after the preamble) begins with the word "all."
Before we go any further, let's just define this term. Can we agree that the word "all" means, well…"all"?
Now, the Constitution is the Supreme Law of the land, and here's what that first sentence says in its entirety:
"All legislative powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives."

With this sentence in mind let me ask a question.

If all law making authority is vested in Congress, then how much is left over for the executive branch?
Asked another way: How can a president make law when only the legislative branch has that power?
The fact is, he cannot.
And when an elected official threatens to act outside his constitutional authority, he is inviting and deserving of impeachment and removal from office.
So I am asking Representative Harris, along with all other members of Congress, who, of course, have sworn an oath to defend the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic, to impeach Barack Obama.
Why?
Barack Obama has identified himself as an enemy of the Constitution by declaring his intention to violate it.

List of Impeachment Supporters in Congress Steadily Growing

The list of impeachable allegations against President Barack Hussein Obama has been growing nearly as fast as our national deficit. They range from perjury, to violating the US Constitution and federal laws, to illegally bypassing Congress to make law to aiding and abetting America’s enemies.
I’ve had a number of people ask me why doesn’t Congress go ahead and impeach Obama and the answer is simple. The Republican controlled House could easily muster up the support to charge Obama with impeachment, but the Democrats control the Senate and they would never convict their savior.
However, there may be hope in the near future as several Senate races are showing early indications that Republicans are leading incumbent Democrats that are up for re-election. Additionally, several Democrats are retiring and the GOP candidates are leading their Democrat challengers for the vacating seats. If Republicans can gain 6 seats in the Senate, they will then have a majority and the possibility of impeachment would loom larger than ever.
In some senate races, the topic of impeachment has come into play. In Georgia, Sen. Saxby Chambliss, the senior Republican senator is retiring. At a recent forum that was held with some of those running for Chambliss’ senate seat, the candidates were asked by the moderator:

“Obama has perjured himself on multiple occasions. Would you support impeachment if presented for a vote?”

Raising their hands to indicate they would vote for impeachment were US Rep Paul Broun who is seeking Chambliss’ Senate seat along with Republicans Derrick Grayson, an engineer and Eugene Yu, a businessman. Hopefully the question of impeaching Obama will be part of every election this year.

Among those already in office are Senators Tom Coburn (R-OK); Ted Cruz (R-TX); James Inhofe (R-OK); Tim Scott (R-SC); and Representatives Michele Bachmann (R-MN); Kerry Bentivolio (R-MI); Jason Chaffetz (R-UT); Blake Farenthold (R-TX); Bill Flores (R-TX); Louis Gohmert (R-TX); Duncan Hunter (R-CA); Steve King (R-IA); Trey Radel (R-FL); Steve Stockman (R-TX); and Ted Yoho (R-FL).
Sean Hannity spoke with Reps King and Farenthold about impeachment they spoke about some of the issues that Obama could be impeached on.

Note that Rep Farenthold said that the ultimate resolution is elections. The people need to take action at the polls by voting against Obama and his fellow Democrats to keep control of the House and retake control of the Senate. Then they will have the power to reign in Obama.
Rep Flores commented on the issue of impeachment, saying:
“I’ve looked at the president. I think he’s violated the Constitution. I think he’s violated the Bill of Rights.”
“I think if the House had an impeachment vote, it would probably impeach the president.”

This is why it is so critically important for people to go to the polls this year and vote for Republican candidates. The more Republicans we can put in the House and Senate the better chance we have of impeaching Barack Obama and ending his dictatorial reign of socialism. So get out this year and support your GOP candidates and help us remove Obama from office!

Personally I don't think he should be impeached I think he should be removed from office and arrested for treason But something is better than nothing we need to show future generations that we didn't just do nothing...

The outrage is building ...

More lawmakers are supporting the idea of impeaching Barack Obama and removing him from office.

U.S. Representative Paul Broun signaled that would support impeaching the President on Saturday at a candidates forum held by Georgia's Gilmer County Tea Party. Broun later confirmed his stance with the Daily Caller, saying:

"If House leadership brought an impeachment vote before the floor, then there would certainly be good reason for doing so, with substantive information and evidence to impeach the President. With the President repeatedly bypassing Congress through executive order, lying to the American people on Obamacare, and failing to address what really happened in Benghazi, I can understand why this would be an important issue to many Georgians right now."

Texas' U.S. Representative Steve Stockman -- the bold Congressman who walked out of Obama's State of the Union address -- told supporters in a letter that he's considering filing articles of impeachment himself!

"I’m considering filing Articles of Impeachment against Barack Obama ... Obama defiantly vowed not only to radically expand the reach of government from cradle to grave, but to smash the Constitution’s restrictions on government power while doing it. His goal is to eliminate our constitutional republic. Last year I said I would consider impeachment as a last resort to stop Obama’s abuse of power. And, quite frankly, we’re running out of options."

Immediately after Obama's SOTU address, Rep. Stockman said the President "has openly vowed to break his oath of office and begin enacting his own brand of law through executive decree" adding that such executive action is "a wholesale violation of Obama's oath of office and a disqualifying offense."

Stockman is right. And seeing that he is a House member, he has the Constitutional authority - as does Rep. Broun - to file articles of impeachment against Obama!

Right now, we've got to urge the House to file articles of impeachment against Obama, so the Senate may convict him of his crimes, and remove him from office!

A 'Year of Action' ... against the Constitution

Members of the United States House and Senate need no more evidence for removing Obama from office after hearing his appalling -- indeed, treasonous -- State of the Union speech.

In addition to calling Congress to rubber-stamp his lawless agenda, Barack Obama openly committed himself to work against the Constitution... in direct violation of the Oath he swore before God and in front of America.

Obama made it clear that he's prepared to act "with or without Congress" on a number of issues - from gun-control to minimum wage to immigration.

Since bypassing Congress and "legislating" by executive fiat is flatly unconstitutional, the President's pledge to do such is an impeachable offense and must not be ignored!

Congress, not the President

The Constitution is clear in Article I, Section 1 when it states: "All legislative Powers herein granted shall be vested in a Congress of the United States, which shall consist of a Senate and House of Representatives."

Note the word "all" ...

Obama simply has no power to legislate - or "make law" - whatsoever. Yet, Obama's January 28 address made clear that he intends to do so despite the Constitution's plain language!

Right now, we need you to sign and send your faxes U.S. lawmakers demanding that Obama be impeached, convicted, and removed from office.

While Obama calls himself a so-called "Constitutional scholar" we know that he is not at all interested in living under its restraints.

In Obama's opinion, the Constitution is nothing more than a sheet full of archaic ideas held by several old men at the end of the 18th century.

Mr. Obama does not consider the Constitution to be the Supreme Law of the Land, but only a "set of ideals." He said so himself during his State of the Union this week.

Obama's lawlessness has got to be stopped. This is why we are asking you to call your elected servants and fax lawmakers urging that he be impeached and removed from office this year.

We've got to stop the would-be dictator before he unlawfully usurps even more power!
