Men Make Off With Jewelry, Cash

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Three men armed with guns broke into a home on Betty Drive and robbed a family of jewelry and cash.

Police said they were called to the location just after 3:30 p.m. Thursday. The victims told police the three came into the home through an unlocked side door and pointed a gun at Jesus Gallegos, then forced him and his wife, Irma, onto the floor.

Police said the men then smashed Jesus Gallegos' cell phone and forced Irma Gallegos and her son into a bathroom.

After ransacking the home and stealing the jewelry and cash, the men ran out of the home.

No injuries were reported. Police said the men were speaking to the family in Spanish.
