I looked up The Knowledge Society and it kept leading me to the
OECD - Organizational Economic cooperation and Development.
This led me to look up OECD and America and Mexico are both listed as OECD Nations. OECD was linked to the European Union.

Here are several links that you can look it up for yourself.
There was a lot of talk about redistibution of wealth and equalization of wages among nations.
Is this the New World Order? You can go and research and see what you find. I got chills.

I will put several links in the post below.
It is going to take someone smarter then me to make sense out of these links.

Here is a chart of the US stats according to the OECD and it lists us as an OECD nation. It also lists Mexico as well. Notice the large section that lists immigrant working and education issues.

Am I the only one that had not heard of the Knowledge Society?
Am I the only one that did not know we are a member of the OECD?

I was reading at the SPP.Gov site. I saw a link to the president of Mexico. I followed that link to the speech in the first post. A speech where the President of Mexico spoke of a Knowledge Society. I had never heard that before so I started keywording it. It took me to the OCED. The OCED led me to the EU. The phrase is used all over the place in the EU. And the last peice of the puzzle is what I just found. I am adding a link to the site.
It is the Canadian use of the Phrase as well.
I guess it comes full circle then. The NAU is the EU.

Industrial nations today are undergoing dramatic economic and social transformation. Knowledge and information are becoming the foundation for the organization and development of economic and social activity. At the core of this transformation is the rapid expansion of infomation and communication technologies (ICTs) and the growth of global competition.
Transition to the Knowledge Society describes the wide-ranging implications of ICTs, their potential for increased production, and their impact on jobs, skill development, wages and income. The authors address complex issues of distribution and equity - particularly with respect to disparities involving class, gender, ethnicity, age, and skill level. They warn of risks associated with the wide-spread use of ICTs that could lead to a society of "haves" and "have-nots", with certain segments of the world's population facing the prospect of marginalization or exclusion from the knowledge-based economy and society of the new millennium.
This book is essential reading for anyone interested in understanding currrent developments and the role of public policy and private sector strategies in dealing with the effects of the introduction of ICTs.

The term Knowledge Society was coined by economist and author Peter Drucker who passed away recently. He was more then 90 years old.

Al Gore was on Larry King last night. A comment he made was, "we should do away with the personal wage income tax and replace it with a carbon based tax. That would make the price of gas go up, but people would keep a lot more of their paycheck.
