I have been contacted by a press monitoring service that wants us to subscribe to their services. Unfortunately, their price tag of 5,000 per year is out of our budget for now. But they are letting me test drive their software and check out all the International Press we have received this month!

Looks like we have been covered a lot in Turkey for some reason, and in Italy, Mexico, Russia, Chile, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, and Estonia!

I will try to post some of the translations below.

Searching online newspapers from all over the world, to me it is evident that people from all over the world know more about our internal workings than most Americans. So many of the news services in small countries subscribe to AFP, BBC and Associated Press. Last time I was overseas, Estonian radio news was full of American doings. So was German news.
Way to go, W!

Vortex, I too think that is a sad thing that foreigners have a better knowledge, or understanding of our nation and it's events and happenings than many Americans.

Bowman, I too was taken aback by that "title", it seemed a bit disturbing.

Whomever translated that article from Mexico is English-illiterate. Sounds like they went through the Spanish-English dictionary and stuck words in. If this was a computer translation they want to charge bunches of money for, they have got to be kidding.
Right, AE, and it is frightening that kids in the school system are not taught "fluffy" subjects like geography. After all these years of neglect, kids and their parents don't really know where any country is until there are US troops there fighting a war. Once taking an American family around Washington, DC, the oldest daughter asked me if Washington was the capital of Virginia. I blame the parents for not stimulating interest in their kids about this country, and I blame the school systems for their creative education bent.
