It's not just the big corps

I've noticed in my community that most of the employers of illegals are small businesses. I've been cruising around watching primarily landscapers, contractors, and even a cabinet shop picking up the aliens in parking lots and on street corners. They are the ones getting their cheap labor for the day. I am disgusted. My mother has a small business, a restaurant, and would never break the law. She would love to have a smaller payroll to put another buck in her pocket, but won't stoop so low as to exploit and break the law for this. Just shows small business can be as greedy as corporate America.

The smaller business are more obvious about hiring illegals as they pick them up on the street corner. The big corporations are more sly in that they hire them with fraudulent paperwork and go under the guise of they are not responsible to check if someone shows up with a social security cards that looks real but cannot speak english. I think it is about 50/50 large and small companies hiring them.

Unfortunately both big businesses, and small one are breaking the law hiring illegals. It's good to know that there are still honest ppl around like your mother who has integrity, and believes in abiding by the laws.

krazynbama, if you'd like to put up the name of your mother's business, we can give her a plug here and on several sites that list Patriotic Businesses. We are very interested in collecting this information.

The Texas oil industry has been using illegals since time began. I have personally worked right beside them in New Mexico year 1976.

krazynbama.....tell your mom to hold her head HIGH. It's not easy these days to stand up for your morals and values and not be swayed by the buck.

Same here.. the small businesses like landscapers, painters, contractors have used them for years. But now it is coming back to bite them. Now these illegals have started their own landscaping businesses, etc. and out bid Americans. The same people who hired them to begin with are starting to lose work to them.

Yes Annie that is true, it came back around to bite them in the butt! They deserve it for hiring them in the first place.

On one side it's great that it's starting to bite these employers in the rearend, but on the flip side, being out bid by an illegal alien isn't to comforting.
