What that means is that wages for working Americans would be cut for those lucky enough to keep or find a job and what’s sure to be a huge spike in unemployment thanks to the drastic overflow into the labor supply—a simple calculation to make when it comes to supply and demand in the labor market.

In his 2006 autobiography, The Audacity of Hope, Reclaiming the American Dream, Obama said essentially the same thing. Then he realized that most of those illegals who were undercutting Americans for entry level jobs were Undocumented Democrats. So he just threw ordinary Americans under the bus.

IMO the real damage will be felt when the next wave of illegals crashes onto our shores. The poorest Americans are already exhibiting hopelessness, with their self-destructive behavior. When the next wave crashes, they will be have to endure another generation of anger and confusion.

And government debt grows paying for population-driven GDP growth that doesn't sustain itself. Fiscal Hawks know this, so obviously Bush isn't one. The last thing the GOP or the nation needs is a globalist, socialist, Banana Republican who wants to artificially inflate our population by importing people who don't sustain themselves. Then the government and taxpayers have to sustain them by borrowing more debt to pay for it.

This is not how most Republicans want to grow the GDP.
