John McCain: America Needs "Bailout" from Illegals

    September 21, 2008

    Senator John McCain
    United States Senate
    Washington, D.C.

    Dear Senator McCain:

America is in the throes of an economic crisis of such grave consequence that former Federal Reserve Chairman Alan Greenspan has described it as a "once in a hundred years" occurrence, which would make it potentially more devastating than the Great Depression.

In reacting to this once in a century crisis, President Bush and Congressional leaders have reportedly reached an agreement to take yet another $700 billion dollars of taxpayer money to purchase bad debt from failing U.S. banks and other financial institutions.

When implemented, the so-called rescue fund will increase America's public debt to $11.3 trillion dollars.

In addition to the latest trillion-dollar crisis, we Americans face other overwhelming economic challenges: Social Security and Medicare are reportedly headed toward insolvency. Democrats would like to implement universal health care (socialized medicine). Most of the nation's infrastructure is old and in need of repair or replacement, and our nation absolutely must achieve energy independence for both national security and economic security reasons.

Given the precarious state of the nation's economy, it should be clear that America can no longer afford to feed, house, educate, and provide medical care to tens of millions of foreign, non-English speaking peasants who have violated U.S. borders and laws and who have no legal basis for being here.

With all due respect, Senator, your advocacy on behalf of illegal aliens ignores the economic, social, educational, and cultural burdens that would be unfairly dumped on the backs of American citizens, most of whom are also taxpayers.

Illegal aliens currently here already cost taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars each year. Amnesty would dump additional billions onto the backs of overtaxed citizens.

Furthermore, "comprehensive reform" anything like the McCain-Kennedy proposals from the summer of 2007 would encourage tens of millions now living in Mexico and other points south of our borders to come here illegally, thereby further jeopardizing homeland security and adding more distress to American citizens.

Senator McCain, in light of the severe economic meltdown facing we the people, why not embrace a plan that immediately secures the borders, deports those here illegally, and requires an orderly and lawful process for all people wishing to migrate to America?

Why not a plan that respects American citizens and honors immigrants who stand in line, wait their turn, and follow the rules?

Why not a plan that is America First, even blatantly jingoistic?

Why not abandon that commitment to amnesty and replace it with a vow to restore the rule of law to our suffering nation?

Why not a plan to bail out American citizens from the devastation that illegal aliens bring to our homeland?

Thank you for your consideration, Senator.

    Sincerely,

    John W. Lillpop
    San Jose, California

John McCain will never abandon his amnesty schemes, no matter how many facts and how much logic you throw at him. Should he be elected, mass amnesty will be at the top of his agenda.

As an elected represenitive, McCain has already had the most persuasive logic thrown at him, apparently (despite he reassurances), to no avail. This is what makes his persistance on the issue so much more insulting and perplexing.

That is 70% of America is vehimately opposed any sort of amnesty, pathway to citizenship, or any other benign label you wish to attach to the act of rewarding those who entered this country in violation of immigration law.

The answer is still NO! It has not changed and it never will!

I am sure McCain knows that undocumented workers have had the green light since 1986 with the I-9s and no Verifying. What would you call people who damage the American interior structure?

No doubt true. But if McCain gets elected I would think that Republicans will also gain some Congressional seats, making it tougher for Congress and the President to get their Comprehensive Immigration Reform through. Democrats are trying to get all the mileage they can out of the credit crisis---and the energy issue. Unfortunately, I think on the energy issue they have some great ideas, such as making alternative energy systems an exportable product.

Excellent point--as long as the Democrats do not have 60 votes in the Senate, we should be able to fillibuster the issue to death.

NoBueno, I have pondered this in my mind many times.

Is he getting some sort of kick back for this? For the life of me, I do NOT understand how a POW would feel good about handing this country over to a group of people who don't belong here in the first place. It makes no sense what so ever to me. He must see himself as some sort of "redeemer for the downtrodden" or something.

I feel like chocking on the words I am about to write, but truth is, if McCain does not pander to the illegal immigration crowd, he will never be able to win an election in this country...And he knows it.

    Goodoledays

I don't know that I buy that. There are plenty of 'democrats' who want something done about illegal immigration that just might vote for him if he would take a stand.

Then again, might he not be able to do more for this country by taking stand, being vocal, being honorable and fighting for the enforcement of our laws, than he can as Persident?

    I think he could.

If he is pandering to the illegal crowd, it's what he has been doing from the beginning. I think he is just doing what he has always done, take the money from corporations, open border advocates/globalists.
