XmRadio's spanish intros instead of english

Just thought I would pass this on for those that may have XMradio. About 2 months ago they started doing intros to the 60/70/80's channels in Spanish. At first I just brushed it off figuring it was just some idiotic DJ or programmer who decided Spanish intros on channels that play American classic/oldies was somehow ok, and that the powers that be would take care of the problem.

Two weeks ago they were still doing the Spanish intro garbage so I wrote them a letter asking for a response. As of today I have recieved no response and they are still doing the intros. It's pretty random as to when they do it, but it happens at least once or twice an hour. One time I even heard it 10 times in an hour, so my guess some programmer(with the managements approval), has decided to follow Bush's lead and try to force it down our throats.

10 minutes ago I just canceled both of my accounts and let the person on the other end know just why I was canceling. In a nice way because you never know what the person answering the phone thinks. I did make sure I repeated the fact that 60/70/80's American music is not Spanish no matter how much they would like it to be. Guess now I either go to Musak or try Sirius.

I am convinced the future of radio is in your computer. When they build the smart car it is all over for sirus and signal radio. If you want happy talk you'll get it. Just music-- that too. The competition for the diansours is not more diansours. Just little rodents pecking at the carcas 'til it rots in the earth and is food for the next generation of music entertainment.

They dig there own grave with that lets jump on the new imigrant band wagon. There are to many Mex music stations that do it far better

I work in radio and I can definitely testify that it's losing it's clout as a medium. Salespeople at my station are practically poisoning each others' coffee to grab accounts from their co-workers when they drop.

The internet is good for radio but you need DSL. Otherwise, with dial-up, it sucks. Satellite is definitely a step in the right direction, but some providers play commercials now. That, in my opinion, defeats the purpose.

Downloading is single-handedly killing the music industry, radio and recordings. Who wants to listen to the radio when you can burn mixes of all your favorite tunes!

And honestly, I think it's a beautiful thing.
