    Sounds good.

We need to look at the big picture, though. We tend to think of welfare as the ones getting 'cheese'. That is a huge cost. The main cost is the price of 4, maybe more, generations in this country living off taxpayer money. This breeds all manner of ills- crime, unhealthy bodies and minds, etc.

We need to think of all the many places our tax dollars are being misused.

Cut out all foreign aid, except humanitarian aid- when truly needed - and that directly to the people.

No more monies to NGO's - and especially no more monies to churches - none whatsoever.

    Send the illegals home -

Seriously rethink our legal immigration program. Why should we bring people into this country and put them on welfare. That makes no sense.

Then let's take a look at subsidies - like the agricultural industry. Do we really need to be subsidizing big agribusiness? Do we? I once saw a bit of propaganda saying farmers only get a small percentage of the agriculture budget. They had a pie chart, showing they did get a small percentage. It seems the pie was cut up into food stamps (a great boon to farmers), school lunches (ditto), crop insurance (well duh!). So call it what you like -it's the confiscation - through intimidation and possible force, of your monies to give to someone else.

How about ethanol? A lot was made of Pres. Obama's give away to the green energy company - certainly bad considering he outcome. No one has mentioned the costly boondoggle of ethanol.

We have not so quickly forgotten, (I hope), we just bailed out the financial industry for a boatload of intentional criminal activity, with no consequences to them. Our great-great grandchildren will be paying for their great-great grandchildren's lavish lifetstyles.

The government needs to get out of the college grant and college loan business. This has driven up the cost of higher education, except for those who want to shackle themselves with 10/20 years of debt, or those the government will give grants, or forgive debts. A lot of children of illegals going to school - dollars to donuts it's a grant or loan that will be 'forgiven'.

I don't know how anyone could have looked at the insanity, and infantile behavior of college students following the election and not had second thoughts about how our money is being spent.

Again, we need to look at all forms of welfare.
