Krauthammer on Shrinking Workforce: ‘This is What Happens When You Become a European-Like Country’

Newsbusters is reporting that Charles Krauthammer blasted Friday’s news that there are now over 90 million Americans no longer considered part of the workforce.

Appearing on Fox News’s Special Report, Krauthammer said, “This is what happens when you become a European-like country.”

CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: This is what happens when you become a European-like country. Europe has had exactly this kind of chronic unemployment for decades, and we haven’t had it. It’s now part of our lives, and I think it’s because we have this incredibly slow recovery with a government that over-regulates. It’s been stifling the sort of natural energy of a free economy which is very strong in the U.S., and what we’re getting is this kind of stagnation.

Mr. Krauthammer is partially correct however one thing the media never wants to touch on I believe because of there stock portfolios is the fact during the 80's we begin the slow process of shipping jobs and manufacturing to China, using young slave labor in various places to produce poor products like shoes made for $5 selling them here for $100 makes huge profits for a few people therefore with a dying middle class you end up with a rich/poor society and the few middle class remaining are government workers.

As a conservative I believe in capitalism and profit however country should be placed first before profit otherwise we all fail. At some point the current system cannot continue there simply will not be enough taxpayers to afford the large government and when the breakdown occurs the wealthy will pack up and with their cash go elsewhere.

Like Krauthammer I believe government regulation hurt us to the extreme but greedy business people and stockholders who wish for fast high profits in my view rank high on the list for hurting the American worker.

We've also brought in over a million people, mostly from India, to take many of our best jobs in technology, finance, medicine, education, and other choice fields. There is currently a proposal before Congress to greatly increase the numbers! Believe it or not!

True, the greed in corporate America is out of control that is where as a conservative I split with those who believe in profit at any cost, America simply cannot tolerate unbridled greed. It's a simple idea I must work to buy a product and pay taxes if the government provides everything for me and I pay no taxes then the country dies.....................I believe some are so greedy they will ride this golden goose into the ground.

The United States is being run for the convenience of corporations.
