Are you saying that hundereds of thousands of American citizens, taking to the streets as they did, will accomplish nothing, or are you saying that American citizens are simply not capable of making the same effort?
Nope. I agree with all your views. I have been to the rallys here in Raleigh. When The Minuteman Project did their national caravan this past summer, I went to the Greensboro, Richmond and D.C. rallys. I left my wife and child, took off work and spent my own money to do this. I have no problem with that at all. The thing that I do have a problem with
(and this is simply American apathy), is at all these rallys there was never more than 150 people attending!
It was heart-breaking.
On the way back to Raleigh, I was traveling through Richmond. I heard on the radio that the Ameican Idol winner had come to town and had filled up the stadium with people.
Americans are so "fat and happy" witht their life that they will not travel 10 miles, let alone to D.C., to stand up for their country. If there is a mass protest, I will be there. But, I'll beleive it when I see it.
Until this problem actually effects people in the wallets, they are going to stick their heads in the sand.
