Lawsuit Filed Against Attorney General Loretta Lynch Over Tarmac Meeting With Bill Clinton

"We must demand accountability for corruption."
by Jeff Neukom November 2, 2016 at 3:33pm

The American Center for Law and Justice filed a lawsuit Wednesday against Attorney General Loretta Lynch demanding that she provide details of a June meeting she had with former President Bill Clinton days before she was to give her ruling on his wife’s case.
The meeting in question occurred barely a week before Lynch’s Justice Department dropped its probe into Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server when she was secretary of state.
On July 5, FBI Director James Comey said the agency recommended no charges against Clinton for her actions even though she was “extremely careless” in her handling of sensitive, highly classified information.

To many, the timing of the meeting aroused suspicion, but both Lynch and Bill Clinton insisted the meeting was impromptu and strictly social.
“Our conversation was a great deal about grandchildren, it was primarily social about our travels and he mentioned golf he played in Phoenix,” she said afterward.
Despite Lynch’s insistence that the half-hour meeting was a social call, many criticized Lynch, calling the meeting a conflict of interest. Conservative radio icon Rush Limbaugh surmised the discussion, which he said was intended to be clandestine, involved Bill Clinton blackmailing Lynch, telling her to drop the email issue all together.

“Nothing to see. Tell [FBI Director James] Comey. No matter what he wants, you don’t have any evidence,” Limbaugh said, impersonating Clinton with theoretical dialogue. “Don’t forget what I told you, Loretta. And remember who put you here. Remember how you got here. And remember how easy, Loretta, it would be to send you somewhere else.”
Despite the litany of criticism, it seemed for months that the meeting would be forgotten. It was by a stroke of luck that KNXV-TV happened to be on sight to report the meeting. Otherwise, it likely would have been kept under wraps, just as Limbaugh said it was intended to be.
But with its lawsuit, the ACLJ has brought the surreptitious meeting back to the fore, adding on to what has been a rough stretch for the Clinton campaign as the election draws near. After Comey announced the FBI would reopen the investigation into Clinton’s email server, Clinton has watched her once-large lead in polls dwindle to almost nothing.
The organization is demanding more information about the meeting and is suing the Obama administration, which it chastised for its “arrogance and inappropriate actions.”

    Trending Stories

“This Administration has gone out of its way to hide information from the American public — information that is extremely troubling.” Jay Sekulow, chief counsel of the ACLJ, said in a statement. “The stakes are high. The American people deserve a Justice Department with integrity.”

He continued, “We must demand accountability for corruption. If we don’t, a constitutional crisis is imminent. The corruption must have consequences.”
The lawsuit is the conservative group’s fourth against the Obama administration, and it follows numerous Freedom of Information Act requests to the Obama Justice Department and the FBI asking for details on the meeting.
While the FBI examines new emails found on former Congressman Anthony Weiner’s laptop, the ACLJ is pressing for all messages that Lynch or her coworkers may have reviewed mentioning the rendezvous, names of everyone at the DOJ who has discussed the meeting, and any discussions about the press in relation to it, among other details.

I don't know if you've had time to catch some of Obama's remarks about Trump at the events Obama campaigns at for Hillary. Obama is a jerk, an angry black man yelling at the crowd about the "racist" Trump, the Trump who doesn't "respect" women, makes fun of disabled, blah blah blah, right out of the Hillary campaign.

I guess Obama is still so inexperienced and so at this point corrupt, he'll do or say anything to try to protect his misdeeds, which means attacking Trump on phony "race" and "woman" cards, all to promote his "legacy" being followed by a Crook in the White House.

Obama is definitely "unhinged" and has without question taken the low road in this campaign.

I think Obama has completely ruined his "legacy" of being Mr. Cool, has turned-off a lot of support he would have otherwise held on to, and harmed himself and his family, all over a Crook he despises but is forced to support to keep his own ass out of jail. Obama's speeches against Trump will be the most viewed throughout history showing how dishonest and disrespectful he really is and how there is no lie too low to be told.

I think black Americans, the target group of these vile anti-Trump speeches, are much smarter than Obama thinks they are. They know he hasn't been in their communities once during his 8 years as President. They know he's handed out their jobs to illegal aliens and foreign countries. They know he's done nothing to keep communities safe for them. They know he's done nothing to improve their education or health care issues, after all how can any President do that when the local tax base is sucked out because the jobs were sucked out.

It's insulting to black Americans and any other minority group for a President of the United States or any candidate for President of the United States to run on a platform of racism and I hope most black Americans and minority groups realize that any candidate or candidate surrogate that hinges their election on the race card intends to keep that card so they can always have it to play, that means keeping racism alive, not ending it.

We're in a our Period of Ironies and Opposites!! Beware fellow Americans, because this election is full of them.

The rich guy is not the Elitist, how ironic is that??

The poor guy is, how ironic is that??

The rich white guy is not the Racist, the poor black guy is. How ironic is that?!!!

The poor black President isn't the guy who wanted to redevelop the inner cities, the rich white guy running for President is. How ironic is that??!!!!

    End the Irony.

This whole meeting was crap, they were discussing a strategy and how to cover their butts with the email investigation. They are not kidding anyone with their explanation of just catching up. Nobody meets on a plane on the tarmac to discuss Grandchilden, really how dumb do you think we are?
