Legal status of “anchor babies” in Mexico
Legal status of “anchor babies” in Mexico
If an illegals alien from Mexico returns to Mexico with a child born in the U.S. what is the legal status of the child in Mexico?
Is the child also a Mexican citizen being born to a Mexican citizen?
Is there any law in Mexico that prevent a Mexican citizen from bringing their U.S. born child into Mexico?

dyehard39,
They can apply for dual citizenhship while living here in the US. Therefore, the anchor baby is still a Mexican citizen. They go to the Mexican Consulates and apply. Get this, dual citizens can vote in both countries. See any thing wrong with that?
