    Let's get it right

We've got to stop calling these criminals, illegal immigrants! The word immigrant, implies that they have gone through some legal, formal channel, to come here. The law defines people who are here illegaly, as illegal aliens. By using the term illegal immigrant, it gives the pro-illegal lobby an opportunity to define us as anti immigrant. I think most of us are not anti immigrant, but anti criminal. We've got to take their arguement away from them and make it one of "the law". We have the law, on our side and that is the REAL issue.

Even our news stations around here, with the exception of one, have started referring to them as illegal aliens again.

Here in San Diego, they are refered to as either unauthorized workers, undocumented migrants, or in most cases just migrants or migrant workers or even day laborers. They will do a story about a smuggler car crash and say something like, "after the crash several migrants ran way on foot...". They will never use the term illegal, ever.

Although they have no problem referring to the Minute Men groups as vigilantes, in fact, they use the term vigilante almost as an automatic adjective whenever they mention the Minute Men, as in: "The vigilante group, the Minute Men will be patrolling the border this month...". And they regularly call anyone who is against the massive invasion by illegals as anti-immigrant.

But what really pisses me off, is when they totally ignore the illegal status of murderous, criminal felons who they know damn well are illegals. Last year, a multiply deported, multiply convicted gang banger, druggie, felon Mexican National Adrian George Camacho was convicted and sentenced to death for the execution style murder of Oceanside, CA rookie police officer Anthony Zepatella during a simple traffic stop, and nowhere in any local TV news report was there any mention that this murderous cop killing scumbag was an illegal alien, not one called even him undocumented, unauthorized, nothing. They just referred to him as an "Oceanside man" or a "local man", treating him as if he were a U.S. citizen or legal resident. Just a bunch of Hispandering, illegal alien aiding and abetting news scum.

reptile09, many of the crimes committed here by people who are probably and sometimes even definitely illegal aliens are reported in a similar fashion in El Paso, TX. In fact, a good share of the crime that takes place is never reported at all.

I'm sure San Diego, like El Paso, has many a criminal come across the border to commit some drug crime who retreats back across the border before the crime is ever detected.

I wonder if those criminals are coming across the international bridges just like anyone who has a legitimate reason to be in this country or if they or walking across those invisible lines called the border that our own government seems so reluctant to identify with a fence.
