Dear Action Alert Subscriber,

We need your help to pass official English in Congress. Almost a third if the entire House of Representatives – 132 congressmen including Republicans and Democrats – have signed on as co-sponsors of H.R. 997, the English Unity Act of 2005 by Iowa Representative Steven King. This is a huge demonstration of bipartisan support.

But the bill is bottled up in the two committees it has been assigned to: the House Education and the Workforce Committee, and the House Judiciary Committee. It is urgent that these committees act to hold hearings and start consideration of this bill.

The chairmen of these committees need to hear from you. Please click here to go to the ProEnglish Fax Center and send them a message in the form of a fax. (Or type http://proenglish.wslogic.com/pe/faxing in your browser’s address bar.) It costs you nothing and once registered, it’s as simple as clicking a button.

And please, help us spread the word! Forward this message to anyone you think might be willing to send a free fax urging these committee chairmen to act on H.R. 997.

Thank you,

K.C. McAlpin
