I have recently arrived and established my base of ops here in DC. I'm very tired but in good spirits. I just received a call and I have my meeting with Senator Burr lined up for later today!

Please keep your calls, e-mails, and faxes flying and please get on the horn to our talk radio show lists to rally the nation. Each of you has the tools and experience needed to rally thousands and have a big impact here today.

We may post some special alerts for you to focus on specific offices that I am visiting today.

If you would like to call Senator Burr's office, thank Sen Burr for agreeing to meet with William Gheen of ALIPAC, ask him to listen to me because I truly represent the vast majority of Americans and North Carolinians on this issue, etc.... That could only help.

Called Burr's Washington office...got through! Sent fax and email, too.

Just got his Winston Salem office. When calling remind the aides that outside of the Urban areas of Winston - Salem, Raleigh-Durham and Charlotte there is abject poverty.

In places like Cherokee and outside of Ashville are some of the poorest people in the country. The same with KY. How is it fair for him to consider letting people whose only accomplishment was hiring a coyote and making it across the border be allowed to compete with his very poor constitiuents for what few jobs there are?

I told her a YES on cloture but NO on the bill is not good enough. He must vote NO on cloture. The citizens of NC expect him to do the right thing and kill the bill.

I'm getting a busy signal at Burr's office....but I'll keep trying.
