This is my letter to ICE about the information I had posted here under the thread about the military choppering out illegals children in the last weekend in April. This letter will be sent to all I have mentioned as a testament to ICE's inability to do their jobs, and that this is the very reason this problem has flourished. I do hope that either this letter will be taken seriously and of course something done about this, or it will serve as a point of embarrasment to ICE.

To whom it may concern,

I have contacted this office before about this matter and nothing was done at that time to enforce the United States Immigration and Nationality Act at that time.

Again I am attempting to get this office to address this issue.

We live at the above address. We have lived here for three years. We felt quite positive at the time we moved in that some of the people living there were illegal aliens. It was also stated by the then manager of this complex that the landlord did not check on backgrounds and did not check social security numbers of all prospective adult tenants, although he was at the time taking a $40.00 application fee.

The complex in question is: Rosewood Commons, (address deleted for this forum), Gresham, OR (zip code). The owner is shown on the deed with Multnomah County as "John and Jim" Doe" (names changed), however the complex was sold to "Ivar Stanis" (name changed), of (address deleted for this forum), Portland, OR, in October 2001. It is unclear why Mr. Stanis' name does not yet appear on the deed, as he is the one who maintains the complex and collects rent, he is also the one who rents units out.

On April 30th, our 12 year old son had been eating dinner, when one the boys who lives in unit number 24, was at our back door saying to our son that he could not be out the next day, as he was told by his parents that police would come and then also the "army" with helicopters to take only the Spanish speaking children.

Our son pressed further with this young boy and all the others that live in this complex that they all had been told by their parents that they feared being sent back to Mexico. These same boys, said all the tenants, other than some of the kids, were from Mexico and had come through the desert to get here from Mexico. This they said is why they were afraid of being found out.

This is not just a matter of a few harmless people living in this complex, most have already had troubles with the law, and there are also gang ties in here. There has been at least one police enforced eviction of gang members. Tonight, upon returning home, one of the young men was in the parking lot dressed gang style and swinging around a blue and white bandana that was nicely folded.

We are not just talking about "hard-working" illegal aliens, but a large number of people who have gang ties and also have been dealt with by local police on drug related issues as well as drunk driving.

I am expecting either this office to finally act on this, or if it is necessary to forward this notification on to the office that can enforce the Federal Immigration and Nationality Act without delay.

A copy of this letter will be sent to the Minutemen, Oregonians for Immigration Reform, Americans for Legal Immigration (ALIPAC), Ron Saxton Oregon gubenatorial candidate, Oregons federal representatives as well as State of Oregon.

As this complex has 35 units, and only two units are occupied by actual known American citizens, and at times some of these tenants house other family members that as well may be illegal aliens, this complex may have as many as 50 to 100 illegal aliens living here.

I look forward to seeing the laws of this country enforced as they should be all along. As an American citizen I expect that those laws be upheld.

Sincerely, Elizabeth (last name inserted here)
