I don't know if it is completely valid, but I hope so. Anyway, I can actually believe the numbers. I do believe this issue cuts across party lines like no other in recent history. Now if the Republicans thinks they are losing main line Republicans (and they are), and the Dem's think the same....then we will start to see some real changes.

This just means our protest has to be continous...not just a day.

The Silent Majorit --those of us who are to the right of far left or to the left of far right, the moderates of both major parties are against illegal immigrants. Regardless of our positions on other issues, we are united as AMERICANS on this issue. It is the far right who are for this ( those who toady to the big corporations ) or the far left ( for whom their political correctness has somehow or other corroded their brains and turned them to mush ) for this issue. But mainstream and those slightly to the left or right politically united.
I am a moderate Democrat ( though I am thinking of reregistering as an Independant ) and other Dems ( including some liberals ) as well as my moderate Republican friends are all united on this issue.
Funny how Bush wanting this "guest worker" program has united the country. Haha, and he said he was the "Unifier." He has united us all right though not necessarily in the way he might have thought or have liked!

    I agree libbeebell.

I find myself with some Democrats on my list that are supporters of tougher immigration laws, yet "My" Republican President has been about as close to zero as you can get.

Were is Harry Truman when you need him? He would have called in troops and closed the border and had employers of illegals arrested....and that would have been just the first day! Then he would have gone home to have dinner with Bess...then he would have read the polls.

Belive me all us liberals have to get up and go to work in the morning. (except the Rhino he's retired) And, were more interested in our artsy fartsy stuff so we take the kind of jobs an illegal alien could do.

The hardest part is not that the young are liberal, it is that they do not see how foreign labor will play out in 5 years. The deficit will be a lot closer to home.

They get it. They just want to be sure they don't hurt the little people who are their sisters and brothers.

People who come in steal your job and do it 60% cheaper are not your sisters and brothers. I would support a citizen revolt even from the left IN Mexico that is where the Mexican people are getting screwed.

We will welcome foreigners to our country for labor purposeses when we know what we need, reach full employment, and create more disposable income for the working class. The working class must take this government and make the changes needed. And the same should happen in Mexico and Latin america.

The American Citizens Party is here for the working man, trade to professional. And the government that supports that objective is not intrusive. It is time for the working people of the world to unite.

    AMERICAN WORKERS FIRST.

Very interesting. I'm conservative to the bone, and would "never, ever" vote for a socialist/communist Democrat, because of that reason, they've never met a socialist/communists they didn't like.

But! I surely could rip Bush a new one over this issue. I can come together as a colalistion on this issue, and we all need to support the Republicans in Congress that are fighting hard for the soveriegnty of this nation. They are true patriots! I've yet to see a Democrat that is "trully" standing up and speaking out like some of the Republicans.

And remember folks dome of these "good" Republicans are what you all consider right wing. I see a lot of denial of just how bad the Democrat Party is on this board. I'm hoping that the Republicans are not so far gone that it can be saved. Because there "are" a "few" good Republican patriots left, I have hope that it can be turned around, if people will get involved, and stop being so apathetic.

The American people are the true villains in this, because of their apathy. By dropping out, and not getting involved, they have let the bad guys take over, in both parties.
