LibertyNEWS TV - "Barack Obama - Race Card Shark"

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature...&v=8LprhhQNzBE

How ironic, how sad, how tragic…that at this time for honoring the memory and legacy of a man who wanted to heal America's racial divide, we have a President who seems intent on deepening it.

Martin Luther King Jr. famously expressed his dream that one day the content of a person's character would matter more than skin color. That people would be judged for who they really are, inside, rather than what they look like, superficially. Dr. King wanted to take the race card off the table. Now, Barack Obama - who has no doubt benefitted from King's work - now, Obama appears determined to play the race card to trump any criticism of his presidency.

In a lengthy article appearing in the New Yorker magazine, Obama blames his sagging approval ratings, at least in part, on racial animus, racial tensions, his view that some people simply "don't like the idea of a black president". Yep, it's racism that's causing Obama's popularity to suffer. I mean, what else could it be, right?

No way the disaster of ObamaCare is hurting Obama's image. No way the blatant lies about the law, the turmoil it's causing, the health insurance disruption, the online security concerns - no way that could be to blame, it's got to be the fact that Obama is black, at least he's not white.

No way the revelations about NSA spying, snooping and widespread phone and email surveillance has anything to do with concerns about the Obama administration. No way that NSA over-reach, combined with other elements of the burgeoning police state, the militarization of America - no way that could have anything to do with the poopy polls for the president. It's gotta be a racial thing.

No way the Benghazi scandal has anything to do with it. No way the whole Middle East mess, including Iran's likely emergence as a nuclear power - no way Obama's playing footsie with terrorists, his failed foreign policy could be impacting his popularity. It simply must be the man's race.

No way the Internal Revenue Service's campaign of intimidation and suppression of Tea Party and other conservative groups carries any weight here. No way the continuing troubles in the economy, the ongoing employment problems, the fact that millions of able-bodied Americans have given up and dropped out of the labor force - no way the record poverty and food stamp numbers have anything to do with the fact that Obama's poll numbers have been dropping. It's gotta be the racist white folks who simply don't like his skin color.

And Obama's constant assaults on our liberty, our freedoms - his attacks on the Second Amendment, his power grabs, his threat of issuing more Executive Orders, essentially nullifying congressional power - all that can't have anything to do with why so many people dislike and distrust this president. It can't be his policies and his programs and his authoritarian, dictatorial tendencies - it must be his race.

For Obama and his leftist minions, malcontents and lock-step marchers, the failing presidency has got to be about the color of his skin, not the content of his character.

Speaking of character, how 'bout that Phil Robertson? As the Duck Dynasty patriarch leads his family into another season of the hit reality show, we're about to see if duck and chicken can be, well, birds of a feather.

Chick-Phil-A Day - Tuesday, January 21st. Set up and promoted by Eric Odom, LibertyNews Managing Director, encourages Phil fans to wear their camo to a local Chick-Fil-A restaurant in support of religious freedom and the right to freely practice it.

Chick-Fil-A, of course, had a run-in with political correctness and its oppressive thought police, as did Phil Robertson. Thus, the advent of Chil-Phil-A day and the national movement to stand for free speech and sit for good food. All sorts of big-time media have covered the run-up to the Tuesday support day - we'll cover the event itself and let you know if it

Realizing Failure, Obama’s Primary Concern Becomes His Blackness

January 21, 2014 by Sam Rolley

    UPI

In a recent interview President Barack Obama said that race plays a major role in his approval rating among American voters, claiming that some voters hate everything he does because he’s black while others tend to give him the “benefit of the doubt” for the same reason.
Obama’s pointed comments about his race and the Presidency appeared on The New Yorker‘s website over the weekend.
“There’s no doubt that there’s some folks who just really dislike me because they don’t like the idea of a black president,” Obama said. “Now, the flip side of it is there are some black folks and maybe some white folks who really like me and give me the benefit of the doubt precisely because I’m a black president.”
A recent Gallup Poll rates Obama’s approval rating at 39 percent, with 53 percent of American voters outright disproving of the President’s handling of his job.
The New Yorker interview marks the most public instance in which Obama has sincerely attributed a large part of the 53 percent disapproval of his handling of the Presidency to whites not liking a black man in the Nation’s highest position of power.
Right after the publication of Obama’s remarks, race-baiter extraordinaire Al Sharpton curiously joined the cast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Monday to talk about how the President has implored race-baiters throughout the Nation to avoid blaming the President’s low approval on his skin color.
Meanwhile, Republican National Committee spokesman Sean Spicer told Bloomberg that it is ridiculous for the President to list race as a factor in America’s growing distaste for his leadership style.
“Poll after poll makes it very clear that Obamacare and other job-killing policies are the reason,” Spicer said.
Spicer is on to something that Sharpton’s remarks help to clarify: Obama is well aware of the damage that the National Security Agency Scandal, the Benghazi attacks, the Internal Revenue Service’s targeting of conservatives, Obama’s spying on journalists and general lack of transparency, and the disastrous rollout of his signature healthcare program has caused to his legacy. The President also recognizes that Americans as a whole are more aware of the political shell game of promising reforms than ever before.
In other words, the President no longer has a way to put a shine on his corrupt administration with words alone. And he is either unwilling or too ineffectual to offer substantial reforms that could change the way Americans will view the Obama years.
So, the President has but one option. He must begin drilling into our heads and posturing for the history books a message that for the remaining years will be simple: I tried. But America still wasn’t ready to make it easy for a black man to succeed.

    He Really Hates Us

January 21, 2014 by Ben Crystal

OFFICIAL WHITE HOUSE PHOTO BY PETE SOUZA

Less than a week before the Nation observed Martin Luther King Jr.’s birthday,The New Yorker published a story about President Barack Obama. Editor David Remnick asked the obvious question about Obama’s abysmal approval ratings. Sitting in the shadow of King’s dream of a color-blind society that is united in harmony, Obama played the race card: “There’s no doubt that there’s some folks who just really dislike me because they don’t like the idea of a black President.”
Of course Obama played the race card. Excepting those occasions when the target is someone like Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, world-renowned surgeon Ben Carson or some other black person who demonstrated the temerity to allow their accomplishments to speak for themselves, the Democrats default to spurious accusations of racism faster than Texas State Senator Wendy “Abortion Barbie” Davis can shriek “war on women!”
I almost feel bad for our poor President. Facing public approval that is folding faster than Vice President Joe Biden playing Jeopardy!, Obama assumes his detractorsmust be motivated by what he calls racial animus. It has never occurred to him that his detractors might be motivated by myriad scandals that have come to define his tenure. In Obama’s mind, the Obamacare debacle, the Benghazi murders, unfettered National Security Agency spying on private citizens, politically motivated Internal Revenue Service harassment of innocent taxpayers, Fast and Furious gunrunning to narcoterrorists, and/or the arming of al-Qaida-affiliated Syrians are insufficient to explain the increasing disaffection Obama endures from the electorate.
What a shame that is — not just because it’s dishonest and crass, but because Obama’s tendency to blame racism for everything from political opposition to parking fines reveals a deeper (and actual) animus. This guy simply doesn’t like us.
And Obama is hardly alone. Late last week, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo fantasized about an Empire State free of people who believe in the sanctity of human life. “(C)onservatives who are right-to-life… have no place in the state of New York.” While New York, which has been hemorrhaging population to “red” States over the past few decades, has become increasingly inhospitable to non-liberals, it’s no California. In declaring pro-life citizens to be personae non gratae, Cuomo has essentially given the bum’s rush to the members of his electorate who recognize that there’s more to New York than Manhattan, the Hamptons and the Governor’s mansion. While Cuomo didn’t identify racism as a factor, there’s no mistaking his clear distaste for the millions of people who think life begins before you’re eligible for union membership.
This liberal hatred for the overwhelming majority of their fellow countrymen and women begs a question. In the case of Obama: What kind of man ascends to the highest office in the land despite absolutely despising half the population? For that matter, what kind of man wouldwant to spend the loftiest moments in his career — indeed, his life — in a job that requires he interact with 150 million people (more like 190 million of late) whom he hates more than Martin Bashir (and pretty much every liberal) hates Sarah Palin?
I expect I can add that question to the miles-long list of questions to which Obama will never provide a satisfactory answer. I expect I can add that question to the miles-long list of questions about which Obama doesn’t care.
