I hate to see politicians and voters rage against immigrants.

I despise the sensationalizing and scapegoating. They talk of “illegalâ€

Another lazy editorial devoid of solid facts. First of all, there is little
"immigrant bashing" going on. Rather, much of the American populace is frustrated and rightly upset with tens of millions illegal aliens who have illegally entered our country or overstayed their visas, and are using up our limited govt resources and hurting schools, hospitals etc. And any meager taxes they pay from the money they don't send back to Mexico etc. is more than offset by the services they use.

Don’t be so quick to grouse that your grandparents came here legally, so what’s the matter with these people that they can’t bother to do likewise? You really can’t compare the laws and procedures back then with the laws and procedures of today.

True, can't compare the laws then to the laws now.

It was MUCH harder to come in then, and somehow my parents and I managed to LEGALLY do it!

The majority in this country do NOT want to reward the illegals with amnesty, health care, education, welfare, WIC, foodstamps, etc.-----for breaking our laws.

You can feel free to adopt and support as many illegals that you like, but the MAJORITY in this country want the border closed/secured, and our immigration laws enforced-----which means arrests and deportations of anyone who has entered our country ILLEGALLY.

These people should NOT be rewarded for breaking our laws-----when there are millions of people throughout the world who are waiting to come into this country through the proper, legal process.

You are CLUELESS if you think that illegals are not getting benefits such as welfare, healthcare, etc.-----that are paid for with the tax dollars of US citizens. For $100 or less, an illegal can buy themselves a fraudulent birth certificate, SS card, and a drivers' licenses. However, a lot of illegals will just steal the identity of a US citizen-----by using either their name or SS number-----or sometimes both.

Illegals are taking jobs that belong to US citizens or LEGAL immigrants. Illegals are lowering wages in many occupations (supply and demand). Illegals are destroying hospitals and schools. Illegals are destroying social benefit systems---welfare, WIC, foodstamps, etc. Illegals are destroying communities---as criminals and drug dealers make up a large number of those entering our country illegally. Illegals are making a mockery of our laws----being arrogant enough to demand that we accommodate their language, culture, customs----and arrogant enough to march in our streets and DEMAND benefits/rights that they are NOT entitled to-------all while waving the flag of their home countries and telling US citizens to "get out, this is their continent."

Let's not forget about the murders, rapes, molestations, DUI deaths to US citizens caused by illegals. I am sure that you would just like to forget though----as you appear to have more concern and sympathy for criminals---- then you do US citizens and LEGAL immigrants----or those trying to come into our country LEGALLY.

You find me a dozen ILLEGAL immigrants who have broken NO laws (federal, state, and local included), disregarded none of the laws of the land, and I'll look at my views on illegal immigrants.
