    The Illegal Conspiracy...

In my opinion, there's no question some "grand conspiracy" is going on relating to the lack of dealing with Illegal’s. First you have the GOP stating they'll shelf the issue until next year, and now here in AZ, they just announced that the immigration initiative has been yanked from Phoenix's November ballot.

The proposal would require police officers to act as Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and enforce federal immigration laws.

I beliee issues like this are also happening elsewhere in the country.

Sure would be nice to get to the bottom of this and find out who is yanking the strings to destroy America...

Moogy I have been convinced of that for years. I think the dems and repulicans as soon as they are elected join the screw the people network. The judges and are reps are all involved. I Just read the book Impeach 'em by bumgardner. good book I will never sit a on a jury again in the same way.

We are played for suckers in the most passive aggressive way possible. Look at how diseased the following proposal is. Why do we "need" this legislation? Because up unto the point this "law proposal" gets passed and enforced it is not really illegal to "burrow" under the Mexican border now is it? I would not be surprised if there is some hidden "kick in" provision to this legislation, you know like 'border anti-tunnelling efforts will intensify by the year 2009 with a full enforcement of the anti-border tunneling bill to become law by the year 2020'. All this is so sick, twisted and evil.

We really have inherited the most treasonous, mentally ill group of politicians to ever curse our country:

    diggersrealm

"Senator Dianne Feinstein is going to introduce a bill today that would make tunneling under the US border a federal offense. "

In my opinion it is the right of everyone to nullify a charge against an individual if you find the law unjust. Like here my 13 year old son cannot ride his gas scooter. I think that law is Bull therefore if I sit on a jury where someone is being tried for that crime I will not vote to convict. Anyone ever here of jury nullification? It’s our weapon to be sure that the laws are just. Once tried by a jury and found not guilty you can not be tried again for the same crime because of the double jeopardy clause.

The proposal would require police officers to act as Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and enforce federal immigration laws.
I was unable to find the text of Prop. 405. I assume that Phoenix residents wanted to take advantage of ICE training for local police that encounter illegal aliens in the course of their regular duties. They would not become "Immigration and Customs" enforcement agents as this slanted article suggests. They would be trained to determine if ICE should receive a call concerning individuals apprehended.
Four of the 911 hijackers had been stopped by police whlie carrying bad papers before the attacks on the Towers. They were simply let go since officers were not trained to deal with illegal aliens. The 911 Commission found this fact unacceptable. The law was changed to give police a better shot at not letting the same thing happen again.
"Sanctuary communities" refuse to deal with illegal aliens and make the land less secure. There is at least one bill proposed to withdraw Homeland Security funds from the sanctuaries. I think it's a good idea since these city's policies waste taxpayer security funds by not doing everything needed to apprehend terrorists.
