President Donald Trump is in Nashville, TN to support TN Congressman Marsha Blackburn for the Senate. She is running for the seat of retiring TN Senator Bob Corker. Former TN Governor Phil Bredesen is her democrat opponent. Mr. Bredesen is running ads that say he will support some of President Trump's agenda.

The race in Tennessee is an important one.

    *****************************

President Trump says we need about 700 miles of border wall. We have natural boundaries.

Mexico will pay for the wall.

    We are working on NAFTA.

Talks about MS 13 and the good job that ICE is doing.

MS 13 and their violence in Long Island.

One person lost us repeal and replace of Obamacare.

Talked for years about getting tax cuts through but referred Congress referred to them as tax reform.

I told them we must say tax cuts.

    African Americans vote for democrats.

I said what do you have to lose? Good numbers coming out now.

We have become like a third world country in infrastructure.

Build new highways and dams and airports.

    We have American pride.

The people of Tennessee helped build this country.

This great state forged through sweat and courage.

Tennessee pioneers who love this country and state.

This is the state of country music.

State of Andrew Jackson, Davey Crockett, Sargent York.

    Triumped over the worst evils.

    Our ancestors blazed the trail.

Empire State Building in less than one year.

We gave away the Panama Canal.

We put a man on the face of the man.

    Great things with NASA.

    We are so respected again.

With your help and vote we will win, win, win.

We bleed red, white, and blue.

We are one people, one family, one glorious nation under God.

We will make America wealthy again, strong again, safe again, we will Make America Great Again.

    God Bless You.

Corker Says He Will Attend Trump Rally and Blackburn Fundraiser in Nashville Today

    May 29, 2018

A tweet from CNN’s Elizabeth Landers indicates that Bob Corker will accompany President Trump tonight as he visits Nashville to stump for GOP Senate candidate Marsha Blackburn, including attending a rally for her.

A spokeswoman for @BobCorker confirms that he will greet @potus at the airport in Nashville tonight- and will attend the rally and fundraiser as well.
    — Elizabeth Landers (@ElizLanders) May 29, 2018

President Trump’s plane is scheduled to land in Nashville at 4:30 p.m. today. A rally will be held at the Municipal Auditorium at 7:00 pm tonight, with doors opening at 2:00 pm.

President Trump held an earlier rally in Nashville attended by an estimated crowd of 10,000 back in March of 2017, also at the Municipal Auditorium.

As reported by The Tennessee Star on April 10, Corker has expressed his support for Blackburn in the past, although he stopped short of a rousing endorsement.

Though he did not use the formal term “endorsement,” Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN) announced his support for Rep. Marsha Blackburn’s (R-TN-07) bid to replace him in the United States Senate on Monday.

Corker sent this tweet out late Monday afternoon:
Now that the Republican primary has essentially concluded, I am sending a contribution to Representative Marsha Blackburn’s campaign and wish her well in her race for the U.S. Senate.
    — Bob Corker (@BobCorker) April 9, 2018

As The Tennessee Star reported back then:

The GOP State Executive Committee (SEC), the governing body for the Tennessee Republican Party, met in Franklin, Tennessee at the Hilton Garden Inn on Saturday and removed eight candidates from the August 2 Republican Primary ballot for failing to qualify as “bona fide” Republicans as defined by party by-laws.

Seven of the candidates had filed petitions to run for the U.S. Senate; one had filed to run for Governor.

Party by-laws require a candidate to have voted in three of four successive Republican Party primary elections, and/or provide additional evidence of service to the Republican Party in order to qualify. Additional prospective candidates seeking election to U.S. Congress, and the state House and Senate, who do not meet the bona fide Republican standard, are likely to be removed in the next few weeks.

While Corker’s role in the 2018 race to replace him does not appear to be shaping up as significant, Trump’s role could be critical in terms of ensuring a solid win for Blackburn. He remains very popular in the state, which he carried handily in 2016.

Corker and Trump have frequently clashed, a key factor in Corker’s plummeting popularity among Republicans in his home state, which in turn prompted his decision not to seek re-election to a third term.

Corker has, however, attempted to maintain a high profile in his capacity as Chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee.

During the past week, he claimed that he had turned down a Trump administration offer to become the U.S. Ambassador to Australia. On Friday, he met with Venezuela dictator Nicolas Maduro. The following day, Venezuela released an American prisoner.

Yeah, I heard the boos. Embarrassing, but I'm still glad Corker showed up. We need "UNITY" to win these mid-terms. I can't stress how vitally, crucially important it is that we win these mid=terms and win them big.

New York Times Admits It Lied About Crowd Size at Nashville Trump Rally, Corrects After President Calls Them Out

NASHVILLE, Tennessee–The New York Times has admitted that it lied about the size of the crowd at the Trump rally held in Nashville on Tuesday night, and changed their crowd estimate after the president called them out on Twitter.

In their original story on the Trump rally, the Times claimed the crowd size was only 1,000–a number that everyone in attendance Tuesday night knew was a misrepresentation of the much larger crowd at the Municipal Auditorium to listen to President Trump speak about his support for Rep. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN-07) and her 2018 campaign for the U.S. Senate seat held by retiring Sen. Bob Corker (R-TN).

Breitbart News was at the rally and estimated the crowd size to be more than 8,000.

Wednesday morning, President Trump called the Times out for their inaccurate crowd size reporting.

“The Failing and Corrupt @nytimes estimated the crowd last night at ‘1000 people,’ when in fact it was many times that number – and the arena was rockin’. This is the way they demean and disparage,” he tweeted.

“They are very dishonest people who don’t ‘get’, me, and never did!” he added in the tweet.

After the presidential broadside, the Washington Times reported that the New York Times “corrected” their crowd estimate later on Wednesday:

The New York Times issued a correction Wednesday about the crowd size at President Trump’s rally after the president challenged the paper’s mistake, acknowledging the audience in Nashville, Tennessee, was more than five times larger than The Times initially reported.

In its article online, The Times said an earlier version of the story “cited an incorrect figure for the number of people attending President Trump’s rally.”

“While no exact figure is available, the fire marshal’s office estimated that approximately 5,500 people attended the rally, not about 1,000 people,” the correction stated
    .

The Trump campaign issued its own crowd size estimate of 7,500 to 8,000 in a statement released to the press on Wednesday.

They lied about the crowd size of the Inauguration too. It takes a peculiar level of despicable for a corrupt media to lie about Americans in our own country.
