Thanks CG, very interesting. It amazes me how the Dems will shoot themselves in the foot to try to gain some political advantage with the illegals. I guess when someone with a pickled brain is running the show, that's what you get.

Forgive me if I don't do a few cartwheels and jump for joy. It is a known fact that Cornyn has been working with the border town mayors in their attempt at stopping our 700-mile fence. Furthermore, he may not vote on an amnesty bill, but I'm sure he would vote on a stand alone guest worker bill and an increase in visas (microsoft needs software engineers ). I'm with 2ndamendsis on this one, Cornyn has done nothing that I'm aware of to deserve our trust, not yet anyway.

On another note - I am glad you had a productive conversation with his aid, CG. I share you're hope that his position is changing for the better.

I agree, Dixie, this is a very bad idea. What six extra months will do is provide the extra time pregnant Mexican nationals need to have their babies in the United States.
