Looking for reasons for being owed something

Think about it. How do you think Mexicans feel when they hear over and over that they are here to do jobs that no one else wants to do? How would you feel if you had that kind of social status? Mexicans have to come up with a way to keep some kind of pride because they are a proud people. What has happened is that they want to believe that they are the real Americans and that europeons are the invaders who stole the land. What should we expect? It's human nature. They say they are native people who have the right to all of North America. >>> The worst enemy you can ever have is a person that you fell sorry for and help. If they still don't do well and you no longer help them, they will become mad and say that it was never help at all but what was owed to them. People do this because by nature we want to be independant. People will spin things and listen to professers who tell them that they are owed something because their ancesters were ripped off. We are seeing a nation wide problem with proud people trying to keep their pride. The more we say that these people want jobs that no one else will do, the more humiliated they become as a people and are forced to look for excuses to be owed something.

Maxwell, First welcome. That is an interesting point that I had not considered. I don't know what can be done about it. They say themselves that they take jobs Americans are too lazy to do. They bring a lot of this stigmatism on themselves.

Its hard to be proud and poor. One does not compliment the other. I just think that instead of pushing issues here, they need to push these issues in Mexico and demand better wages and conditions there.

What happened 160 years ago is unfortunate, but its done and its too late to change it. Their best option is to protest in Mexico. I think the whole world would be behind them if they did.

    Welcome Maxwell,
I agree with Sherbug, but I know what you are saying.

Monday I saw a street interview with one of the illegal protesters, and she said that WE make them come here and take dirty jobs no one else wants, and that they (illegals) were tired of it!

She also said they deserve better, and deserved full Amnesty because of all the hard work they do for us !

One would think they would love to beat the drumbs of how they do work we Americans won't do, as it would give them an excuse to continue to break our laws coming here for work.

Already they are saying how they want better, and deserve better and they are not even legal citizens yet. Imagine what all they will want and demand if they become Guest workers, or get Amnesty!! They will want higher wages, health insurance, and all the benefits that Americans are suppose to get.

It's a never ending cycle, with these illegals. If 18,000,000,000 illegals become Americans, and illegals claim they do jobs Americans won't do, then who is going to come in and do the jobs the illegals will no longer want to do if they become Americans too?

Would we then have another 18,000,000,000 new illegals coming in, doing all the jobs the old illegals are no longer doing because the old illegals are now Americans???
If that being the case, when do they ever stop coming

Welcome, You see I would explain it like this; Anyone who says they only do jobs Americans won't do is lying. I am an American and yes I would not shovel cow dung for 6.00 an hour but I would for 60.00, so what they are truly saying is an American will not do it for what they are willing to pay. Now to me that makes the employer a racist who is looking for nothing more then slave labor. This depresses wages for everyone including the illegal’s. It cuts taxes because most wages are taxed, It in turn cuts spending for other items that are taxed like fuel and sin items.
So then the argument is we need to make them legal to correct the problem thus creating a new influx of slave labor to fill the job the new Americans will not do for the money they are willing to pay. This then depress the wages the new Americans will make and so on.
Where does it stop you ask, when America become a third world country and no one wants to come here anymore. The answer is this: send them all home to make their countries great and kick their own governments in gear. Take away the draw that brings them here. Take away the jobs, the free ride for education for their children and the medical and public services. They will then be forced to be proud and take a stand in there own countries as our founding fathers did. They can then make their own countries great like ours is by creating a government that will create jobs, hospitals and farms to feed their own people. The draw that brings them here will be gone because they to will be educated and have quality of life. If you give a man a fish you feed him for a day, but if you teach a man to fish…. Well you get the drift.
The first requisite of a good citizen in this republic of ours is that he shall be able and willing to pull his own weight.
