Lack of Representation
Fellow Americans;
I think what Al Gore sees as global warming is actually the heating of tempers of the true American people that are getting fed up with this pathetic representation, or should I say a lack thereof, coming from the elected elite in Washington.

Funding
If the Congress of this country can’t find funding for the security of our borders, why not use the $17 Billion sitting in Social Security that was paid in by the illegal immigrants using false social Security numbers that is just sitting there and cannot be assigned?
This would be better than the politicians spending it to get re-elected!

yundoug: Hey, welcome aboard!
Yes, along the same line of reasoning...
Most people aren't aware of it, but the "Suspense file" (the pool of accruing funds paid into the SS system, but not matched to beneficiaries [via unmatched SSN's, etc] - my words, not theirs....) totals about $520 billion at present. Pro-illegals rail about how these unrecoverable benefits are an injustice to illegal workers that have paid into the system - with little or no hope of being able to receive SS benefits in the end. I, personally, don't view the problem that way. They have gained the job and income through illegal acts, therefore, they have no right to claim any benefit under our system.
If I were running the show, I'd put that money to work for Americans - ensuring all legitimate people that need the benefits get them (which is NOT happening under the current system), as well as, increase benefits for retirees and those with chronic disabilities. These people are getting shortchanged by the SS system, and there are easy and readily available remedies - and more importantly, funds just sitting and waiting to solve the problem.
I know, and have had lengthy discussions with, someone that was an attorney with the SSA and will tell you based on my first hand knowledge, that the bureaucratic 'brick walls' that get thrown up simply to slow or impede the application process by honest and deserving beneficiaries is nothing short of criminal. It is WAY TOO difficult, and WAY TOO time consuming for applicants to get a fair and fast review of their applications/ cases. And it is done purposefully.
Finally, I'll say to everyone here - please do get behind and follow closely the Ensign Amendments to the Labor/HHS bill. These would:
1. Postpone, or nullify the SSTA (Soc. Sec. Totalization Agreement) w/Mexico (an Agreement, not a treaty!)
and
2. Deny benefits to any person that had worked illegally in the US.
In short, if you've worked here illegally - you can't qualify for SS benefits.

We're being disenfranchised.
A caveat comes to mind when it comes to rebutting illegals' handlers (like the National Communist La Raza). We correctly argue, as you imply, that we, as voters are ignored by elected officials.
Globalist politicians will argue that they are representing the will of the voters
Those voters they are arguably representing are illegals - illegals who registered during the mob demonstrations, and illegals who are about to register by the millions in New York state.
So, yundoug, what do you think; do we need to qualify what we say/write to elected officials by adding something like this?
Sincerely,
John Doe
U.S. Citizen and Legally Registered Voter
Unknown numbers of illegals were mass-registered to vote during the various mob demonstrations around the country. Sen. Hutchison is so proud of these illegals, she voted FOR the Dream-Act amnesty bill.
What part of "We don't owe our jobs to India" are you unable to understand, Senator?

Article l of the U.S. Constitution is The Legislature. This is no accident. It is "numero uno" because it is the representatives of THE PEOPLE. How many send questionnaires or have staff members make phone calls to canvass how their constituency feel on important bills coming up for a votes? I can't remember getting either regarding AMNESTY or THE DREAM ACT, as well as ENTITLEMENT for Illegals. Some of our Congress have the audacity to refer to Social Security as entitlement! Here's a news flash for those idiots: Social Security is a benefit (tax), which is deducted from a LEGAL employee's paycheck...not entitlement. Some of these folks need a refresher course in Govt. 101!

US government has been a runaway train. They just do what they want without regards to what the people want. The people are ignorant, and don't vote. They believe there is a difference between Dems and REpubs.
This country was run By the Clinton Dynasty, now the Bush Dynasty, and they want to go back to the Clinton Dynasty. If the current idiot George Bush could get elected, anyone can. He is not a leader, not smart, and he is not running this country. Cheney, Bush Sr. and friends are the ones running it with dumb George Jr. at the helm. Big business, not just oil, but banking, insurance, pharmaceuticals and tobacco have put these folks in office.
No change that was promised happened in all of the years of these 2 dynasties.
It matters who we elect for school boards, city governments, senators, representatives and the president.
Maybe it is time for someone with no ties to these dynasties and no experience. It might be a good thing.
That extra money should go to a group healthcare plan for adults that have paid into the system, not children, not illegals, not deadbeats.I'm "Dot" and I am LEGAL!

You are on to something.
I have been observing this for 50 years as an adult. We have had Presidents from either party - congress ruled by either party - congress split - the WH and congress of the same party - the WH and congress of the same party, - you name it, we've had all the combinations.
Since Nixon went to China, (maybe before), we have been marching steadily onward toward a one world - or corporate government.
Each President had his job to do - and he did it. Some were very evident, some not so - and this one, may get to deliver the final blow.
Yet still, we have people saying we need to stand behind the Rep/Dem - when they just aren't seeing the facts. The only difference has been the rhetoric, a few pet projects, and some have had a little different lines in the charade.
We have an over 90% incumbency rate - that means some of these people have been up there for a while - yet they did nothing.
If you had the exposure and the power that any congresscritter does, how would you be handling illegal immigration? Now and 20 years ago? Would you be sitting around waiting for some vote, visiting the border, talking with Mexican officials?
I wouldn't.
I would be going on every talk show that would have me, every TV show, writing op ed pieces for every newspaper in the nation and every site on the internet that would allow me. I would be sending out letters to the people in my district, standing on the street corner, if necessary.
I truly expect no less from our elected officials -Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

I think the best thing we could do is organize a grass roots voter's league and encourage and demand that our friends and relatives vote.
We need to start on a local level, and all the way up.
I know so many that don't vote.
We need someone independent of these parties.
Trix - you are right we have tried every combination. We were promised that when the Dems got control things would change, but nothing has. There chance is over.I'm "Dot" and I am LEGAL!
