Senate vote a victory for Democracy

Resisted extensive lobbying by the open borders crowd

By 8:45 Phone System crashed

Whose voice would be heard - the American people or corporate greedies (my word)

5 Democrats voted to Kill the Bill

Reid very disappointed and gave it the ole college try

Sen. Grassley said should be lession you can't bypass committe, debate, etc.

6 Dems and 12 Republicans changed their votes

Coleman and Webb voted no because his amendment was killed

Opponents of bill said it was a victory for the people.

Vitter said it would come down to who was listened to . . . the American people or corporate lobbyists.

Some Senators voted against the bill because of the process Reid was putting forth

Some Republicans are calling upon the Prez for immediate money for security.

Chertoff says this bill would have made it easier to enforce laws, but will do the best with what he has.

Holy crap I just flipped on and he said "chicken pluckers"

They need to quit using that term unless they enunciate reallly well. Kennedy made the same mistake a while back...
