Illegals are being laid off by construction companies

I heard it on CNBC this AM that the illegals are beginning to feel the housing decline in a big way and are being laid off. The numbers aren't clear (because they're illegal workers) but the economists are noting a large increase in layoffs of 'immigrants'.

Now is the time to tighten the noose and hire only Americans. Tell your friends and families to look for American crews to do their cement/construction/yard work until we squeeze the ILLEGAL MEX AND OTM out of our country whining and crying about their illegal immigrant rightS to work here.

Let do this! Now is the time!

AND DONATE TO ALIPAC. WE NEED THIS FORUM TO CONTINUE OUR FIGHT.

Guess that means they'll be heading off to the local welfare office to sign up for some benefits courtesy of the U.S. taxpayers.

I hope most of them go back to their countries of origin rather than hang around Home Depot and cemeteries.

The first thing I thought of when hearing about the credit crunch was that
it would send at least some of "them" back where they came from....but
then, no, they will just get on welfare.

As long as there is a shred of hope coming from the talking heads in our government over amnesty they won't leave! And the '08 election is making everything interesting too...

I don't think they will go home either. They are planted here.
We are going to have a home built. Our first question is, do you hire any illegals? If they do or don't know we hang up. We have someone that is going to build that only uses American workers. We've been out to all his work sites to make sure. I told him I will not have any illegals or non English speaking people here. Yes, it's going to cost more, but it's the right thing to do.
We need to push to get the illegals out of our social services. My goodness, there are Americans that really need help and they can't get it. Just turns my stomach.

It is disgusting. The entire construction industry in North Carolina is filled with illegals. Is it possible to hold the builders accountable if their subcontractors use illegal labor?

I would believe so. If the homes are built sub par! I worked with a tile company and we installed tiles on new homes and the contractors that built the homes were all mostly illegals and the inspectors were there all the time and the houses were always off to the plans!!!
