Trump shouldn't release his tax returns. What's so funny to me is everyone demanding his returns, Dem and Rep alike, all claim this is a tradition started by Richard Nixon in the 70's. No, it was a lame-brain ridiculous idea started by George Romney, Mitt Romney's father. This is the "gift" of the Romneys to American Politics. Candidates, MEDIA, pundits and those who don't know any better fighting over the release of private federally-protected tax returns.

The issue cost Mitt Romney a lot of votes, possibly the White House.

Trust me, Trump is not stupid. He will not release his tax returns, nor should he and only people who don't know any better are demanding them. As long as you have filed if you're required to and have paid what you're supposed to, which is a decision solely up to the IRS, you, and the courts if there's a difference, then there is nothing at all of benefit to the public about what's in your tax returns. Candidates are required to file Financial Disclosures Statements, by law, and Trump did that in full.

So Republicans, Democrats and the Media need to respect Trump and any other candidate's legal rights to just say "NO" and focus on issues and policies that matter.
